With reflash I was hitting a 2 sec 60' and a 9 sec 1/8 80 mph in 93~100F heat. At least this is consistent with his results.. the cars are pretty heavy plus were on stock rubber.

I have a set of VMR 710 19" Gun Metal their weight I beleive is 24-25 lbs. im getting the 18" and frankly dont know the weight, reason im getting 18" is the weight , tires are cheaper and easier to find and the roads here in Puerto Rico. I bent the front wheels TWICE and dont want risk it!! I had a set of Hankook Ventus V12 and plan to buy them AGAIN!! great tires and lasted me over 18 months(I bought them used from a guy in Orlando and it had according to him 6 mo. old) but I wore the rears ouT!! cause of and you why RENNtech and WAGNER jajajjajajaja. I will try to post the pics of the rear worn out tires ok

Hey man those wheels look pretty good! I just got a set of 18" bmw performance wheels, they look pretty badass too. I'm not sure what the weight is but I stuck with 18" for the same reasons you did. Plus 19" on 3 series is just too big, it looks like a hot wheels lol

Just thought I would update. I took my d to the track today, track is roughly sea level, air temp was 80F. My best pass was 12.933 @ 106.18 mph. Slip is below (sorry its sideways). My mods are JBD and methanol. My other runs were (in order from first to last) 13.0, 13.1, 18.8 (engine malfunction warning), 13.2, 12.9, 12.9. Technique was to start in m2, brake torque to just over 2k rpm, and let it rip with the computer forcing the shifts.

Would you not get a better time if you was to shift at 4k as the engine normally has peak torque there?.

All of the evidence from other people's passes suggests that letting the car shift is the best choice. I considered trying it out this way but didnt get around to it. If I had a dyno done I could take the dyno info and gear ratios from the trans to figure out the idea shift points, but im not going to be spending much time at the track so its just not worth my time

I just thought I would bring this back up since Ive had a chance to check it too. When I come to a stop in DS, the car shifts to first. I confirmed this by manually telling it to upshift after stopping and feeling it shift. If I stop in D and shift to DS, the car also stays in 1st, verified the same way

You're right. What is was getting at, if it's in manual mode it starts in second unless you move the shifter forward.

Very impressive E.T. !

You're absolutely, positively, definitely right! That's why it's next to impossible for me to drive on DS in the streets because it's so jerky, even without the JBD.

Nice! Into the 12's ... Thanks for posting the results.

If you could add this to http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW--335d-Drag-Racing.html that would be great.

If these (online 1/4mi hp calculators) are even accurate, you are looking at about a 380 BHP car.
