This is basically a secondary cat delete right? What would be the difference between this and going to a muffler shop and having them make me these pipes?

I read from an earlier post that this needs welding if you don't have a PE |

Midpipe prices will go up when they see supply and demand. Don't wait, just buy it. These things have resale value anyway. |

I don't know what size are the afe midpipes. If they are 55mm, it is the same size as stock. If it isn't, just weld it. |

But the aFe is 2.5in which I believe is the same diameter, but the tips look tapered so maybe they just slide in and clamp down.

Also got mine installed this past week and all I can say is...wow! It sounds amazing! Im going to post a vid and pics soon. The muffler shop needs to admit my quads since they were moved a few inches off center.

Set up sounds right to all my past exhaust set ups. Add a cone intake if you haven't already.

I finally hit 300 miles now this setup continues to sound DOPE!!!!. I finally turned on my bms pbx to map 2 lastnight. I'll keep everyone posted to see if this makes any difference in sound or responsiveness. I am still saving for the AFE header paired with this setup..stay tuned!!!!!

I would highly recommend a tune instead of the powerbox. I went to oetuning.com and wow thats all i can say. Gonna put it on the dyno soon to see if its really an extra 25hp

On topic, I would like to hear these pipes and their catted headers with the BMW PE.
