DYI: Easiest way to get 1b file and generate FSC codes for CIC navi map update

Car has CIC-MID Head Unit (MOTION Map Type), not CIC. USB 1B Script file will not work.

E-Series MOTION Map, best bet is to just buy Map Update from a seller.

I have a 2012 F10 Europe (USB in the glove box) well, I think its F10 but in the VIN it puts WBAF11....
Currently running PREMIUM 2016 maps - Wes Europe on CIC headend
Short VIN DY42059

Hoping to upgrade to latest maps. I have PREMIUM 2023 maps already downloaded and the 1b file but with the BMW-FSC-Generator I can´t generate FSC because the last map it can generate it is from 2022.

Can you help with a FSC code please?

If using Jagaer's FSC Generator, an alternative is to generate a FSC for an older map (say 2022 or 2021) plus also TICK the "Lifetime" checkbox.

You can then use the "Lifetime" FSC for the latest 2023 maps, and any new maps in the future.

Using an F82 M4 with a NBT would this work knowing that i don't have a glove box USB slot but just a center console one.

If not can you point me at the right method ?

No. NBT has no 1B File. You have a DE File, and can pull it with E-Sys and ENET Cable.

Did this a couple of year ago however I cannot pull the 1b file, tried loads of different usb drives including the one I used first time round. Still no 1b file.

Does having a CarPlay mmi box interfere with pulling the 1b file?

No idea. Have to disconnect it to find out. If you have 1B from a couple of years ago, it has not changed.

Can someone please share with me CIC_FSC_Generator link for version 1.91.
I can’t find it online, i tried with V1.01. but from some reasen my 1b file doesnt give me a FSC.

I have downloaded the road map europe 2023, inserted in the USB of FAT32 format but nothing happens when I insert in glove box in bmw 520 series. am i missing anything? what should be in the root? I got following in the usb root - pkgdb folder, config.nfm

Just the pkgdb folder and config.nfm file in Root of Fat32 Formatted USB 2.0 Drive.
