Thanks for the compliments everyone!

I was leaning for black or gray initially, but when I saw this in person I had to go with this. When it is all cleaned up and waxed, it looks great. I will warn though that when washing, be extra careful to use clean towels and sponges since it tends to show imperfections easily.

The only drawback of waxing cars is getting so close that you see all the little nics and scratches.

I recommend to anyone with a new car or paint job to invest in a clear bra. It was about $900 bucks for the whole front end and mirrors... IMO Totally worth it!

Oooo that is one sexy picture. Which forum did you find that on Martin?

The show was pretty fun, even though it was kinda cold and extremely wet. I was soaked to the bone by the end. Was fun hanging out with everyone though and seeing some nice cars.

I'm a big fan of blue cars in general, so after having Sydney and Mystic on previous bimmers, I think Le Mans would be a good way to get back into blue. I hear you on the fact that blemishes show up more. I have Space Gray at the moment, and I really like how well it hides both dirt and small chips/scratches.

What kind of clear bra did you get? The BMW one? I will for sure be having one fitted, and had heard Ventureshield was one of the best.

Awesome pic Aaron. One for framing methinks I think I saw this on the Eurowerks site - there were quite a few other shots of your car on there too.

Did you go to the German Car Fest too? I never made it in the end.

I finally got some time to take care of the lady.

So I ordered the BMS Powerbox and a AFE Stage II intake. More to come!

Is that the stock body work? The new version of the ZHP? (not sure what it is called these days)

Either way, good work.

Yes. It is the Ventureshield. Good stuff.

If you are still in the Minneapolis area, the guys who did it are called Dent Kraft http://www.dentkraftpdr.com

They do a great job with great customer service. They also do a lot of work on BMWs and I think even the Sears/Minnetonka BMW dealership uses them for clear bra and dent repair.

Is anyone going to the PCA event this coming weekend at Brainerd? I'll be there, just wanted to see if another BMW would be there.

They put me in run group one because this is my third track event . Ohh well, guess I'll just have to smoke everyone and move up.

I bought a mount that you can put a camcorder on (mounts to the headrest). I'll try to get some in car video.

Thanks for the tip! I assume the shield is specific to the vehicle and comes in pre-cut sections? How much of the car did you cover?

I would recommend Rogers Master Collision in Bloomington. They painted and installed my M-Sport body kit - excellent job. They also did a PDR for me after I picked up a door ding.

I was referred by Motorwerks as Rogers do alot of work for them.

I added the BMW Performance front aero lip and black kidneys, but other than that yeah it's the stock body.
