Josh told me last week that they resolved the Manifold issue on the white board and as of a week ago, have already started on the needed changes. He didn't say for sure how dramatic the changes were, but his words were that they had an ingenious idea. So i don't know if that means they found a simple solution or that they now have a bad ass Mani concept. I do know that they "plan" to leave the Turbo in the same location it was.

I could and probably should know more, but honestly, I try not to think about it too much; its a lot of weight on my mind waiting for it to be done, especially seeing and reading all the updates from Shiv. But i KNOW they are working on it and progress is be ing made every day. All of the M3 projects going on right now are NOT in the way or slowing down the 335i progress. There is a separate team on the 335i from in house on out source teams.

From what i remember from the last email on Friday, I should have an update later today by COB. If i do, ill post.

I think it's just something they are working on, I don't think the other competition is making them move faster or slower

I commend you on your patience. I know very few customers that would exhibit the same virtue.

At some point someone will buy HPF hardware and use a different tune. It is bound to happen.

At some point, HPF will offer their kit with more than one tune.

Probably sooner than most think.

Ya, how long have they had his car. And I always wonder in cases like this where a customer donates their car for prototype testing. What kind of discount do they receive for being the guinea pig?

Like is the labor free and they still have to pay for all parts.

I'm curious since this was a stage 0 developing. For example, its not like with Shiv getting his to work and testing on M cars, xi, etc which should just be small tweaks.

at this point and time... i'd be asking HPF to pay me if they want to keep my car for even a day longer. This guy has some massive patience.

I was thinking about that same thing about 6 months ago. I hope they are doing it ALL for free! Not many people would donate their car for that long! Thanks for having the patience!

I'm sure he's getting everything for FREE (labor, parts); exhaust, intercooler, tune, single turbo kit, etc., and the satisfaction of being the first HPF 335 single turbo on the street..

I'd ask for compensation + everything for free. A business like HPF could have just bought their own 335i if they were gonna spend that long.
