so what are peoples thoughts on an idrive retro for a non idrive car?

i like the interface and the dbl hump dash ... just trying to justify it right now on a car i bought just over a week and a half ago

i also need to buy winter wheels and tires or just put winter tires on my stocks and buy new wheels next summer

so i am trying to allocate funding to different areas, my one friend says wait til spring to do idrive my gf actually said do it now if i want

its gonna cost you about $3500 from that vendor... and thats without installation

i can do the install, i have done a lot of electronics work so thats not the issue, plus getting the dash from Tischer saves a bit and i would go pick it up so that saves on shipping. that vendor does the coding remotely so that takes care of that.

i also like the ipod interface on the idrive better than the prof radio

It was his own fault. Somebody was makin a right turn in his lane and since he had some lady passenger needing to go somewhere he decided he wasn't gonna wait and swerved into my lane to the left, cutting me off while I was honking like crazy at him because there wasn't any room for his dumb ass, and causing me to swerve left. If anybody was to MY left I woulda hit them trying to avoid his ass. So I cut him bak off real quick and he goes around me givin me the finger only to get caught at the red light in front of me. So I get out and knock as hard as I can on his window and ask him if he wanted to give me the middle finger now? He said fuck u so I punched his window and told him he's a fuckin pussy to get out of the car, he made the "crazy" sign at me with his finger to his head, light turned green and he took off. About 30 seconds later (traffic on 6th ave) he drives past me and gives me the finger again, blows thru a yellow light and I blow around the car in front of me thru the light too and get him a block later at the next red light. I get out and approach him, he's on his Bluetooth calling the cops so I punch his window again and tell him to call the cops because he's a pussy Hindu ******. I get in my car, he gets out of his and talks shit, I roll my window down and tell him "yeah get out ur car and talk shit when I'm in mine, he looks at my plate and I get out and run to him to punch his face and he jumps in his cab and takes off...*

Sorry for the long post but it's kind of a rant. He had me so pissed off...

do you have a hookup on the dash?

for the system he said around 2000 Euros so prob around $2500 which isnt bad considering

problem is he doesn't work up detail pricing until you give him a deposit to order the FSC codes, which if he can't do, says he hasn't had a problem yet, he will refund your money

the dash from tischer is like $600 i wish i could find it a little cheaper

to me though i don't think $3500 is a crazy number for what you get, i would still need to buy the ipod adaptor but he can do all the coding remotely for whatever you want done
