That's good. Hey, detailing question for you. Do you use QD after every wash? If so, which one do you you like? Heard from a friend that the OPT Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer really makes it shine. Tried some other ones but not that impressed.

no i don't. not after a weekly wash. the only use for quick detail at least for me is for when you claybar the car.

weekly wash is just soap and water and sealer / wax depending on which week it is

How often do you wax and seal? I seal every 3 months or so and wax usually every month. I would like to get some CG Citrus Wash & Gloss to strip everything this summer but don't really want to buy a whole bottle since I will only use it a few times a year.

What about tire dressing? I have the silk shine, looks great when I put it on but wears off real easy. Do you have any posts of this things you use? Still trying to get a feel for everything.

I used a circular steel brush attached to a drill to clean the rust off the hubs, then a scotch brite pad for the calipers, brake cleaner on both then 3 coats of brushed on enamel cailper paint for both.

That is where I got mine, $55 shipped. Looks good as far as paint match goes. Put them in this AM, damn was that harder than I thought. They did not snap in as easy I thought they would. Ended up ok, but having OCD, the one on the passenger has a small "step off." Is it noticable? Only to me, but still.

Thank you for not ignoring me! Much appreciated.

Damn! Well it looks really nice. I would love to do that to mine. Mine look worse than yours did on your before pics. I also think you need to invest in some P21S gel wheel cleaner I did this yesterday in the F'ing cold, that crap really works. I forgot how rims where suppose to shine. So, I guess you don't want to come over and fix my hubs??

yes I need to give my car it's monthly winter wash. I'd clean them just not paint it. takes like 30 mins per wheel to just clean them so it's not bad they look awesome when they're clean but we all know they'd just gonna rust again

So, like I said, I can't ever make up my mind. Always been interested in photography and saw that I can pick up a D40 starter kit for about $600. I am a fairly techie kind of guy (working in IT and all) is the D40 something you can pick up with some online guides and trial and error, or does it really require some classes to get the most out of it?

D40 is a great starter kit. I'd def go for it if you're looking to get into photography. Of course seth will have better information than myself

I have always liked taking pictures of stuff and tried to get creative, but never dove into it to far. I found a D40 and D60 kit within my price range. Both come with an 18-55mm lense. D60 looks a little nicer because of the 10.2 MP, just not sure if the D60 gets you much over the D40 for the cost. The D60 kit is about $100 more than the D40 kit.
