Since this thread is getting very lengthy, if it helps, there is a "Search This Thread" menu button at the top of the thread.

ArmyBimmerDude - while im waiting for my 335i my "daily driver" is a 748whp Evo on "ahem" STOCK bottom end except if you consider new head studs to be bottom end. dont leave me out of the "strong block because its cast iron" argument :-D, also, isnt the 300ZX TT block cast iron? im 50% sure it is.

canuck, its an evo not a bmw why would you drool over it :-) it doesnt have the "prestige" as my buddy calls it of a "high class automobile". but its Fcking fast! :-D

EDIT: next time i get it tuned/dyno'd again ill have a sheet printed out and ill fax it over or scan it on here, as it sits i looked at the screen afterwards but i didnt request a dyno sheet because i didnt think i'd run into someone like you, but for next time ill have them print out a few copies :-D im more concerned with my daily datalogging than i am of peak hp/torque.

It was a polite way to ask and put the BS out of the equation, if I told you that I have a 660whp turbo Hayabusa as my daily driver but last time I got it on the dyno I did not ask for a printed copy of the run what would you think of it? anyway even a dynosheet will not prove anything but usually we have these things handy when it is for real.

Yep, the 300Z was another engine like that. You're right, I forgot cause I've always thought it was ugly as hell and never thought twice about it.

You are however full of shit when you say you have a 750hp evo. That is unless you're rich or a family that buys you everything.

BUT if you're not bs'ing then that is a bad ass toy.

Dyno and pics, bitte

army, not full of shyt at all, in fact i make decent enough money and right now its my only high horsepower car until the 335 comes in. its not entirely expensive to build a car with that much power considering how cheap the parts are. perhaps you're just used to driving a bmw and paying bmw prices for everything.

canuck - if you have a 660hp hayabusa more power to you, i dont go around trying to prove people are lying about something. it becomes borderline obsession when your posts focus entirely around someone else's life/car and trying to make them look like a liar.

army, AMS even sells kits/tunes to take evos up to and beyond 800hp. they've already got a 988awhp evo and they're not even the only one. ask Shiv how many high WHP evos hes tuned im sure he'd need more than all fingers/toes. not to mention the 4G63 has been around forever, if you talk to the right people, its not astronomically expensive to build a powerful one especially if its done right. and considering i have no other modifications except drivetrain(even stock wheels/tires) then the $ isnt much invested at all. i'd even wager that the cost of my car plus the $ ive invested is less than what the 335i will cost me.

For anyone wanting to see juicey dyno sheets of Evos,, some with light mods making 350awhp + goto www.evolutionm.net and search.

A turboback/flash on an evo 9 will get you there, 350ish awhp.

As far as 600-700awhp, Larger turbo, cams, meth injection will get you close.

I bet under $10k will get you there,,, So give this guy a break for not having a dyno sheet to back this up with.

got a phone call 5min ago my Dad is trading in his 525 (stick) for a 335 coupe (auto). Very weird didn't even talk to me about it.

ps hey Shiv: xi, wagon how about some love... an xi with 390hp might be a bit slower but it would hook up nicely.

ive been reading so many threads about Shiv's tuning on the 335i and im very impressed

however problem is the Pacific ocean bw myself and Vishnu tuning

can the Xede chip sold pre-programmed as a DIY install or is it a custom tune only?

im not planning any engine/exhaust mods on this car, so a tune on stock engine would work fine. Another issue may be Octane rating, we use 98 RON in Aus. We do have 100RON available atm but it has 10% ethanol
