Just a note on Customer sevice- I am having battery issues (unrelated to the AP) with my car and have an appt to dealer it. So upon uninstall, I had a slight problem b/c my voltage was too low. I emailed Rob late at night and promptly had a reply and great advice on how to handle my situation. People fear the ROM crash if the car runs out of voltage- I can clearly state that if this occurs, it is easily corrected by the AP. Thanks Rob for great service!

400whp is the norm with GIAC Stage 2+ and all bolt-ons. I haven't seen many piggybacks breaking this barrier on stock turbos, of course there are glory runs at 18-19psi which show like 420whp but the difference is not so big.

Just purchased the Cobb tune. I'm an older guy, age 55yrs and assume that most of you 335/Cobb owners are much younger, so please bare with me. My question is: How does the Cobb tune actually work? Does it just modify turbo boost only to increase speed or does it modify other aspects of the car?

modifies timing, A/F and boost to increase performance. You will be happy with the results. Now, enough talk, get that car flashed already and drive it!

The Cobb is an "off the shelf" flash, but it does have the ability to be PROtuned by a licensed Cobb tuner...

The off the shelf map adjusts timing, boost and air fuel ratios associated with the added boost, therefore making more power safely...

When you get PROTuned, you no longer have an off the shelf map because the tuner will manually adjust the parameters for your car based on your mods (typically on a dyno) - so you easily make more power and they will more than likely adjust the off the shelf parameters to perfection...

Is anyone currently running meth with COBB AP? I know its not supported just wondering if anyone has done it. Hopefully it will be easier to use methanol when ATR comes out.

Had all my recall work done a few days ago and then loaded the Cobb tune. All went well. Few check engines that cleared with use and a single bogging of the engine that disappeared as quickly as the trouble lights.

The car is truly fun to drive, quick and I feel better knowing I can take it out for dealer service.

I did my own searches and in my quest to get "the best" had come to the conclusion that, like any electronics, "the best" is a fleeting claim. Wait a few minutes and the title is gone. My big screen, which was "the best" ten months ago is now sadly lacking. Which if you think about it is really a good thing, advances are made and we benefit.

That being said, as I see debates on which tune is best, I think I will just settle in and say that Cobb is "the best" for me. I'm happy.

This is pretty common. There are a number of different ECU ROM versions out there and as a safety precaution, the AP won't flash a modified ROM on something that COBB hasn't seen before. There should be an option to download your ROM so that you can email it off to them. They'll take a look at it and barring anything REALLY unusual, will include that ROM version in their next update (a few days or a couple weeks at most).

Just called COBB about some specifics on the AP. I also Inquired as to
whether the AP could input injector calibration values in the DME for
those of us outside warranty. The person responded yes but only with
protune? Not sure if I was understood. Can anyone confirm?

If the answer is no then this maybe one of the wish list as Shiv and BT
indicated they are working on it but I have not seen any updates so far.
Since the AP is already writing stuff the DME, it seems logical but then
I'm no software engineer.
