I think you have my wagon's twin (well, before the mods). Impeccable taste Did you happen to buy from Greenwich BMW? That's where I got mine.

Indeed. Here's my detailing write-up in case you're interested, though I've switched to Dodo Juice Purple Haze wax since, adds more depth.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=690180 Have any plans to mod yours?

Nice write-up.
Only mods so far are cosmetic: black kidney grills, clear reflectors, debadged and euro headlight switch. That's probably how it's gonna stay for a while.

can you talk a bit about that : -Quaife BMW Limited Slip Diff (LSD) -M3 control arms front -Clutch valve modification Does it individualy increase the performance, or helps the car to sty on the road with the ENORMOUS 710Nm ?

So daily driving (esp. in snow/wet) benefits it very much, and "inspired" road driving or trackday use, it is night and day in difference.. M3 control arms contribute to bettter handling/steering and much better respons from the steeringwheel. I think there are stiffer bushings in them that also contribute in addition to slightly different geometry(?). But I changed them at the same time I put on coilovers, so I really haven't tried before/after. But together with the suspention, anti-roll bars, and good tires, the grip is just superb. Clutch valve modification - This doesn't increase the performance very much, but the clutch valve restrictor is just useless if the car is driven hard with quick gearshifts. It makes shure to engage the clutch slow, makes it easier for people who can't use a clutch properly. But otherwise, I would guess it just makes the clutch wear out quicker. (Real simple mod by the way, I just used a screw driver to tap the restrictor out. And didn't have to vent the clutch). |

2012 E91 Touring
Add another one to the list - I decided to get one of the last E91s off the line before the changeover to the F31.
LeMans Blue, manual transmission, M-Sport package, and AWD (wanted it here in the Northwest for winter road trips). Pic is from delivery day at the dealership in Bend, OR. I did EU delivery on May 30, 2012. What an experience. Lots of pics and a narrative of the event here: http://www.bmwpugetsound.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=46885 Mods so far include gloss black kidneys to match the shadowline trim, tint all around, and the EU headlight switch to enable rear fogs. Future plans call for a Performance Exhaust and possibly the EU intake. I'm shopping for wheels now - I've got to get the summer rubber off the M-Sport wheels before the weather turns to crap. I'm going to run a set of BBS 18" wheels (CH or RGR, not decided yet) and Michelin Pilot Super Sports (non-RF) during the summer months. Love it so far! The "different" factor is fun, as is the utility. It feels like a normal 3-series sedan 'til I turn around and look at all the extra room back there.... -Rick Last edited by Rselby; 09-16-2012 at 12:40 PM.. |

Those just look so perfect. BBS CHs and BMWs go together like peanut butter and jelly, it seems. They really pop against the LeMans Blue.
Thanks for sharing! -Rick
