HPF is too smart of a company and too resourcefull to really have been having a hard time making a turbo kit for 335i after 5 years.

I don't think Shiv was working on his single turbo project for 5 years. That's why I have a VERY hard time justifying the time it has taken HPF to make their kit and they are still not done yet. I see them looking at the 335i to be honest as a "side" project (up to now at least). That would explain why it has taken so long. Just my 2 cents.

+1 on most companies having a company vehicle for R&D, but i'm assuming he did volunteer. If he had a problem with his car being at HPF for several years he would have objected

You feel bad for him just reading that. I'd be interested to hear HPF's explanation because from an outsider looking in, they have not handled this well.

Yeah, crazy...

Dude when i was at the shop in january and sat in the car for a while before i moved to Kansas... I had the same wow feeling that i did in the dealership back in 2008. Holly shit i forgot how amazing and secure that 335i driver seat feels! Sad Face.

I don't have a lot of money, I'm just a Soldier, but when i was really hurting for money a few years back, i thought of selling her every day. But each time i get in the car and put my hands on the wheel... I thought... Fuck it.

They had better do the WHOLE stage for you. If they don't I seriously doubt anyone gonna wanna be their next guinea pig. If it were my company, at the MOST charge him for the internals and build his motor up. And his transmission too, whatever can be done with that. I am an HPF fan but really, if this guy doesn't get stage 100 then thats just giving him the out of sight out of mind. Just because the guy may not be making a stink about 3 years down the hole doesn't mean he doesn't deserve more. Thats how you ultimately wind up with a disgruntled story down the road. If there was ONE customer they could focus on right now making happy using any means necessary, it would be this guy.

I'm not a fan of the wars, but since you do serve, no matter what the reason, I do appreciate everything you do in the military, regardless of why since you play little to zero role in the why part yet you do it anyway on our behalves.

I mean think about it, if our soldiers were in our back yard getting pushed back would you let them inside your house to find a safe place to hide? Of course, because otherwise the other folks would be at your door next plus you now have free guards with guns in your house.

Sure. but thats not the point, he could have rented his car out for three years and paid cash for it himself. They NEED to make an example out of this guy what HPF is really about. And from what we all understand, that is 'Above and Beyond' the call of duty, no pun intended. And above and beyond would be more than they initially promised him since these length of time to complete terms have been clearly more than was initially hinted at. They may have told him, it could take a few years, but the point is, they most definitely hinted that it would be done by the time he was back from his trip away at war. The reason he elected himself was because he was thinking, 'well shit, I'm in Iraq for a whole year, I'm nearby and I would love a free kit when I get back!' not, "well shit, I'm in Iraq for a year, I'd love to come home to financial difficulty with no car for two more years!'

Shoutout to you bro. Not only is he defending our nation, but he is also making it possible for HPF to design a turbo kit for us

If 'HPF 335 #1' doesn't get his kit for free HPF won't get a dime from me and I have a few buddies that feel the same way. Bad business is bad business.

We've turned the non-divided manifold into a divided manifold to allow the Vishnu to work correctly. The divider flange fits inside the turbo itself and this allows both banks to independently monitor the air fuel ratios and make the correct adjustments. We'll have it back together and on the dyno shortly. Time for some big power.

Chris.
