I am also in the DFW area. Do you guys ever have meets? I would like to see your car after you upgrade your turbo.

I got a couple other buddies that have 135's also but they're kind out there. You ever go to Cars and Coffee @ Classic BMW?

I've been to majority of them this year.

@darkhold that log looks sick. I'm even more excited now. The car looks a little unhappy and pulling just a little timing near the end but Damn! What do your daily boost targets look like? Have you considered trying out the 3.5bar TMAP?

I wasnt running enough E in that mix from that pull explaining timing drop.

Daily i run 14 to 16 psi flat. Depending on octane i put in the car. I save the max boost for monthly event

Talked to Terry about 3.5 bar tmap but its not available for F series yet. Bms wont develop it unless there is a backend flash possible for F series.

This is the same issue I have with the 2013 DCT 7 speed. As I research, I'm thinking stage1 will be OKAY with our tranny (esp my DCT) but stage 2 may cause major issues as the DCT load is measured off of the DME target and therefore we could burn through clutch plates. But the backend flash is needed.

Well so far i havent had any issues. Also i dont do pulls at 2k rpm. All to save the tranny. Races are done at 4.5k rpm plus. And quartermile is only 1st/2nd gear and due to short ratios only max 14.5 psi in 2nd for me. I think the car would be ok with st2 as well in higher rpm range if torque stays around 600nm.

I agree! Thanks for the perspective; you've been running it for some time now too right?

I believe my DCT is rated at 600nm - I know the m6 has the same tranny but clutch plates that support 700nm.

Either way, it doesn't matter if the tranny measures its load from the dme targets. The only variable that reassures me is that the tranny was developed to handle 600nm, right so that must mean at full dme boost target of 8psi. so even with double the boost and with sport mode and manual engaged, is the tranny in full performance mode supporting ~600nm?

I assume the new 8-speed is more advanced.

PTF claims it is impeccable for the DCT to read DME load correctly to prevent issues. BMS also does not support 'bigger turbo' on N55 engine/tranny without back-end flash.

Lastly, since COBB has not unlocked up to mid 2012's, and a rare bunch of 2012+-2013 exists, will the efforts move forward for a backend flash on these vehicles? my only hope is that if the f-models are broken and this trickles down to a newer e-series breakthrough...

I haven't been to one yet. I'm fairly new to the area but I plan on going once the weather cools down.

We are building them up. Not all 10 are built but we are working on it. We need to get all 10 paid first before we start shipping. Sept. 29th sounds like plenty of time. We should be good. Thanks for your patience and support guys. We appreciate it.

We are ripping the stock turbo out of the Burger 435i right now...

I'm assuming that's the autotune map 5? I would start with low boost setting on map 6. Slowly work your boost values up in map 6, given your octane and logged ignition timing results allow. What fuel are you running?

That was map 7. About 60% E85 with 93, inline 255 pump.

Definitely doesn't appear to be utilizing the new setup. Try map 6 and set it to 17 across the board and go from there!
