Removed the stupid snow that was dumped overnight.
And finished the paddle shifter retrofit (without Burger Tuning harness). I'll post on that thread in the DIY section all the details. |

Plugged the pcv ports in the head, new vacuum lines, deleted the vacuum tanks and relocated the coolant tank.
I'm hoping that I can everything else done tomorrow, excluding the walnut blast. Planning on Wednesday, then take her for a spin!!! |

Had a fairly productive weekend -
Installed BMS rear diff brace installed aluminum pedals Got valves walnut blasted ( 91k miles, it had never been done) Needless to say they were terrible, and my car runs and drives much smoother now ! Installing next weekend- Catless downpipes, Revshift Trans mounts, and painting the brake calipers black also. Can't wait!! |

finished my cooling system.
had to bleed it using jumper cables since the shitbags that robbed the garage saturday night stole my charger too. at least the car isn't broken. and I'm now down to just 2 errors in the entire chassis. next up, level sensor. then I have to figure out this "coding not present" bullshit the DME is on about. |

After losing my only key, spending nearly $300 on a new dealer key (only to have it not work at all), spending nearly $100 on a locksmith who couldn't get the car to start and couldn't get into the CAS to make a key, I finally shipped my DME and CAS to a guy in Louisiana who was able to make me a set of keys that actually worked... So I'm only out $900... which is still less than the $2800 it would've been to have the dealer replace the CAS.
Car had been parked for 3 weeks with the battery disconnected, and it was *not* happy when plugged back in. x-drive error (turn lock to lock to clear), oil level low error message, drivetrain error message, check engine light... I added some oil and drove it a bit and the errors all eventually cleared, but it is still driving like it is in limp home or something... has very little power. I'm going to get it an oil change, since it is due... maybe i over-filled it, maybe it wasn't actually low when the low oil light came on. Then I guess it's time to run through some ISTA testing. Maybe I'll have time this weekend. Hopefully the locksmith and the dude in LA didn't screw up the coding on the DME... I had this on my DME just after I flashed my 328 with 330 code. Waaaaaaay back in the thread there was a note about coding some module to clear it. |

Coding not present, 2FA3 or something like that? Gift from the 330 tune...never got around to doing the blank man file. Wish there was a step by step...one in the thread was a little dodgy. |

to be honest I'm not sure if it's a result of the 330 flash or if I buggered it up when I recoded the VO to delete the RDC. regardless. I'm down to one actual fault, and one bullshit fault, in a ten year old BMW with 144K miles, and that seems pretty good. I'll swap this level sensor and I will have no actual physical faults with the car. then it's moving onto suspension. |

Completed the oil filter housing gaskets replacement. on a scale of 1-10 for fun, maybe a 1.1 on the scale. Still better than replacing the coolant pump like I did back in mid 2018 (-2 from 10 on the fun scale... LOL

Apparently the previous owner wiped the CAS (probably done by a cheap locksmith before the security hole in the CAS was patched) |
