I don't know what my job dsc is anymore. I"m suppose to do JZ's job and he's moving more toward development, but never an offical announcment

I never micro manage...

I think old school managers fail because they don't trust their employees and let them grow.

For managers to grow, they need to be strategic, not tactical. Being tactical is what staff is for. Being strategic is how decent managers grow to be good managers.

you should demand your manager to write that up. you can use it to your advantage when he makes you do something that you're not supposed to be doing...
