well all I can really say is I don't have beef with either one of you guys but Vasil you do come off like a know it all and an "everything I have is better than yours" kind of mentality. I believe this is common trait of inadequacy in relationships. In my experience, the people who build themselves up to have the best of everything are usually the most insecure with who they are, regardless if what they have is the best or not. Most of us, most of the time throw out the facts but with an open mind to other stuff. I won't lie and say I'm not biased about a few things or against a few others, but at the same time, the approach is a little different than yours which I think is where most people have a problem (if they have a problem).

Al is stubborn and brash and he is going to push your buttons because he feels you push his. Is it nice? Not really. Is it fair? Kinda. But it's what you must endure if you don't try to either change the approach that is creating this impression that irks a lot of people here, or just stop posting all together. I don't think you need to stop posting but if you want to be accepted by the majority and not harassed just don't do the stuff that gets people fired up about it.

As far as the ghey jokes, it's "guy time" in here so if you don't like it, don't participate. God knows it's not going to change any time soon.

With that being said, Al... I think you've gotten you point across and I'm not going to tell you what to or not to do but I think it's probably time to pull back a little. Voice your opinions but keep it classy... God knows if you got mad at me and made every stab at me about me being Jewish or something I'd probably come beat your ass and stuff you into a convection oven.

Well, you are one of the few new members here. I know a few of other people in Chicagoland with BMWs who won't come and chat in this forum. I am not making sweeping statements. Where did you see that? I was asking suggestive questions.

That doesn't mean anything though Vasil. Is this the ONLY place people can come who live in Chicago on this forum? No. They make a choice to come here and post. If you want a new thread for them, make one. We like it here, we understand what this thread is about and warn newbs accordingly. Nobody is saying these people you know can't be active members of these forums but if they want to post in here... they know what to expect.

I don't know Seth... I went to college and grad school here in USA. All of my professors told me to present factual arguments when I am trying to make a point. Also, I've been taught to be prepared to defend my opinions because I've been told that this is a free country and everyone is entitled to and opinion and the ability to defend it.

So that's what I've been doing the whole time. I state my opinion and then I list the reasons why I think it is valid. Not once have I intended to show that "mine is better". I was simply stating the primary reasons why I have my opinion on things.

Lets take my GIAC opinion. All I've done is state reasons as to why I think it is better than anything currently on the market. I simply listed those reasons one by one. Not once have I said: "You fools, you should be running GIAC and dump your piggies", now have I?

As to how and why this method of expressing my opinions has become a point of hatred to some and a matter of personal vendetta to others, I have no idea.

Again, there are multiple reasons why this thread is great. If you want to talk serious all day, you can post here. If you want to talk about bs, then you can post here. The problem is when people come in here and act like they are better than everyone. Well all come from various backgrounds and age groups. I think it is unique.

I must admit, I am not sure where all the hatred came from. I must have missed a few threads at some point. Hard to keep up with 100 pages a day. I appreciate everyone's opinion on here. Do I agree with all of them? No. It sounds like you came off wrong at some point

I may have misunderstood your statement. If I did, I didn't meant to. I do have do agree that it took me a quite a few days to understand the jokes and comments.
