Those BMW Performance shocks/struts aren't very well received by anyone from my research, why I matched their springs w/ Bilstein instead

This is on a 335is?

Do you have 19's with larger tires like say 265 or 275 wide in the rear?

Just wondering. A friend of mine has a 335is and is looking to redo his suspension

Installed gloss black grilles on my new-to-me 11 335i. They really go a long way The car came with that partial clear bra that has clearly (pun intended) seen better days. Currently in the process of taking it off.

Let us know how that works for you. Especially if it went across the headlamps. Debating having it wrapped and I wanted to know how well it (or what it takes to) remove.

I really like the ride quality of them, just didn’t expect to have one leak in under a year. Luckily it was covered under parts warranty so I didn’t have to cough up any money.

How do you like the B8s? I may go that route when it’s time fore a refresh in another 100k miles or so.

Ya on my iS.

Nah I only had the OEM 225/255 on my 19's, was with 12.5/15mm spacers though. Currently running 18" Arc8 with 235/265 but no spacers. I might be swapping back to the 19s soon though w/ 235/265 but not MP4S... something a little less $ I think this time.

Oh, do you? I've always heard complaints of them being too soft from others, ya glad they had the warranty on them I didn't think of that even.

I like 'em for sure! They seem to really liven up at faster speeds and are comfy at stoplight to stoplight driving too, good balance it feels like. Kinda like them over the Koni not having to worry about if I have the damper setting perfect or not

You make some good points. I don’t track the car and commute 100 miles a day so I’m sure for those with twisties and track days they may feel it’s too soft. I’m pretty happy with them for a daily though. I had stock non sport suspension and wanted something with a slight drop but improved handling. Honestly I think the swaybar made the biggest difference. Same diameter as the stock diesel front swaybar but I believe the angle is different or possibly the material. It 100% changes the way the car enters a corner during spirited driving.

It's not on the headlights thankfully. only 1/3 of the hood and fenders. The fender pieces I got off in about 3 hours with the help of a friend, who's professional detailer. Due to the heavy scratching on the clear bra, it peels off in bits and pieces about 1/2 of the size of your finger nail. Total PITA. 3 hours of work with a heat gun, plastic razor blades, and lots of lubrication on the hood, I got about the size of two hands worth of clear bra off. I guess this is what it looks like when people over-use automatic car washes. Once it's off I'm going to do a light machine polish to clean it up. Sadly in Chicago it's been overcast and cooler so I can't use the sun to heat it up, and the heat from the heat gun isn't retained long to peel it off. I'll be posting pics once it's off, and after the light polish.

PR posted an install video on Youtube and cited a potential 20 whp increase.

For fun, I threw a log into Virtual Dyno and it estimated 483 whp/501wtq.

My torque figure was already in the 500s so that didn't increase per Virtual Dyno, but WHP did by a pretty substantial margin.

Playing the waiting game to pick her back up from my mechanic to replace the front driveshaft. I usually do my own work, but I decided my time was more valuable. Most of the u joint decided to break apart… always something…

Is that the MeWant cover? Looks pretty good. Real leather, or faux? How does it feel?

Yea it’s the $26 fake version. I was going to stitch is the way the factory wheels are done but I really wanted to get it as tight as possible so it’s not quite as pretty as it could be. I love the feel over the stock wheel. Keeping my heated wheel was a must!
