It had no pictures yet and we were the first to call on it and ask for information and photos. It is on Tan interior which isn't her favorite but due to the rarity of these we said go for it anyways. It is being delivered today. I am not sure how to post up pictures on this page...
So jealous of this find, white and tan, just what I'm looking for. Post more details and pictures when you get a chance!

Yea, I saw that one the other day. That's a nice looking car and I wish I had seen it before buying my X3. Its killing me to not be an E9x owner anymore.

Just curious...

Is anyone here considering an e61 in their search?

I searched for both when looking for my E91. But I was looking for a manual trans, those are real unicorns.

Things like N54 issues and all of the E61 tech (active swaybars... why) made me a little concerned about owning one, though.

Haha I hear you.

I had an opportunity to drive a 530xi (n52) wagon recently and it was excellent. E91 is more of a hatchback in my opinion, where as the e61 is larger and more of a true wagon. Fantastic insulation.

As for n54, I had a 335i, that I sold with roughly 50k Miles. The only problem I ever had with the car was a leaking windshield washer pump. I suspect things creep up at the 100k mark.

FWIW - Before I bought my E91, I drove an E61 535xi and it had a more substantial luxury feel - the doors closed more solidly, it was quieter on the inside, no rattles, etc. The E91 is still great, and I prefer the "hatchback" and sport wagon look. However, if I had two kids and needed more space, I would have likely bought an E61. Oh, and the dual turbos of the 535xi were amazing...probably dangerous for me.

Until last week, I also owned a 135is.... so I see the appeal.

Naturally the best of both worlds is for me to buy a salvage/wrecked 335 and swap the drivetrain into my E91. I'm mostly serious about doing this.

Do it! gixracer has a 335is engine/transmission for sale that I dream of swapping in. My wagon hasn't even hit 45k miles tho so its not time to scrap her N52 yet. You should make it happen!

Just making sure that everyone looking for an E91 knows that this beast is out there lurking for a new owner. For the price of a unicorn 6MT/RWD/ZMP you could get this monster and eat everyone's lunch!

Hat tip to Mkid for an amazing build. GLWS!!!

I considered the e61, both the MT and the SAT. The additional concern of HPFP and turbo failures on a DD got me leaning towards the e91. Plus the N52 is enough engine for me.

Holy smokes that's a good deal. Also is that a PE I detect, or just a sooty exhaust outlet?
