Hey , thought I would say Hi.
Currently got a 350bhp Impreza and as Astra CDTI with 200bhp but thinking of trading in both and getting a lovely 335d coupe :-)
Was interested reading that some of you have 1/4 miled the 335 and got cracking times! Best time in the scooby is 12.9 so was very impressed seeing someone got a 13.0

Was contemplating a 123d coupe with a remap especially because of the mix of economy and power so would be interested in anyones views of 123d or 335d if you have driven/owned both.
Cheers
Ross

Hi Ross, welcome to E90 post. You can't compare a 123d with a re-map to even a
standard 335d.

Where then 335d excels I the midrange. Very quick 80-160 etc

Bought 335i from forum member (with pics)!

Hi there,

I bought "Yahoos" old 335i about 6 weeks ago and haven't had chance to say hello to the forum until now. I had been lurking for a while learning about the 335 and a twist of fate led to me buying a forum members car. So thanks guys for making this such an informative and friendly forum. Hopefully, I can contribute a little in the future.

The car is superb and an absolute credit to Yahoo. It was one of the easiest and most pleasurable transactions I've ever done.

You probably know the spec but here it is:

335i Coupe M-Sport Manual
Sparkling Graphite
Jade Grey Leather
225 alloys
Logic 7
Sliding arm rest
Elec folding wing mirrors
Heated seats
Elec Lumbar

Yahoo, added some tasteful mods:

M3 rear spolier
Gloss black grill
Carbon rear diffuser
Non-RFT, 265's on the rear.

Pics attached hopefully.

Coming from 6 years of owning and tracking a VX220 Turbo I really think I made the right choice. Although, it'll take me a little time to get used to driving something that's exactly twice the weight!

All the best

James

Ross - 123d vs 335d is a bit silly even if the 123d has a remap. Both good cars though. I'm sure someone will rattle out some daft stats on the 123d but although quick, people are getting a bit stupid about them. Some total wazzock on PH currently thinks his standard 123d is better and pretty much as quick as a Z4M...

James- lovely car. Have you still got the VX? I seriously considered one of these for a while but bottled it (and need more than two seats!).

Unfortunately not, I had to sell to fund the 335i. I've just noticed your location, the guy that bought it came up all the way from Cornwall, so you just might see it!

They are absolutely brilliant little motors. My experience was of great reliability, cheap to run (if you're willing to get your hands a little dirty) and huge amounts of fun. However, I think I'm in a minority group having owned it and used it as a daily driver for 6 years. Looking back I was either greatly dedicated or stupid! 335 all the way now..

Jay - will do. I often see a silver one around here - the rather brave owner goes through quite a deep ford (as in water) in it every day!

Quick too aren't they? Seem to remember 60 in well under 5 seconds?

Well they do look like plastic bath tubs to be honest!

Yeah, Vauxhall claim 4.7 to 60 and 12.1 to 100. I had AMD work there stage 2 magic on mine; remove pre-cat and fit full Milltek exhaust system, 200 cell sports cat and ECU remap. 250bhp and 250lb/ft from 1900 rpm. Car weighs 900kgs so was always highly entertaining. Unfortunatley they don't have LSDs.

Hello

Hi all...

Posted in the main forum, but then I saw this 'Newbies say hello here' bit...

So.. 'elllo from Nuneaton

I have a 335d MSport LCI E90, Bluewater, with Black leather.... Has Pro media, xenons etc.. Bought new from Sytner Birmingham a few months ago.

It's puurdy... And goes like a cat with it's tail on fire

However, I am considering a re-map, so may take a run over to eMap today as they're only a few miles from me.

I used to have a lovely Z4 3.0si, dark blue with 19" Alpina alloys.. all the toys mmmmmm... But that's another story (see main post lol)

Jdcampbell - Thanks bud. I just found your flickr pics of your new motor. Same colour and interior trim as mine, very rare! It's an absolute stunning combination isn't it? Love that rear spoiler on e90's.
