I usually sleep on my side with an arm under my pillow and my head on it but that arm now becomes numb and begins to hurt. Switching to the other side does the same thing.

Had to learn to sleep on my back many years ago after diverticulitis surgery left me with an ileostomy bag. That lasted six months until the doctors reversed it. Funny thing is I have slept on my back since then up until a couple of years ago. Now I find my self wanting to sleep on my right side, but of I do, my arm goes numb and I wake up. I do and try lay on my back but, just can't get comfortable. Wont lay on my left side feels like to much pressure on the heart.
Sometimes I wonder if it's not the pillows. Have tried different pillows, just doesn't seem to make a difference.
