Inserted red gel into the door lights so my car looks illuminated by Satan himself at night time when I unlock it haha

Misfire diagnosis

My son and I removed the engine cover and removed the spark plugs; looking for misfire causes. We found oil in some of the spark plug tubes, so we cleaned them thoroughly, cleaned the spark plugs and coil packs, and put it back together. I cleared the codes and took it for a spin. No new codes!

We ordered a new gasket kit, and bolts, so we can keep the oil out of the high voltage area.

We plan on replacing the spark plugs when we install the new gasket.

It was a very good day.

Actually very cheap. I'll share my secrets soon!

Test fit these bad boys before paint. There is only 1 screw in so fitment is WAY off.

Painting or wrapping the sidemarkers gloss black would make it look even better!

not done to my "car" per se, but...

Today, I successfully installed INPA on my Windows 10 laptop! It was fraught with chasing down bugs and filepath rabbitholes, but it is up and running!

Next I will try to back up my ECU...heading towards 3IM swap capability!

They will be going black. This was only a test fit to make sure nothing crazy was going on. Shipping company just called and rear bumper is delayed until tomorrow

I just indulged my inner ricer a bit with some rgb led strips for my deck and tape. I took it off but with a actual kit and brightness adjustment...I might actually be a ricer.

Started tracking down a water leak that was soaking my front passenger foot well. After checking all the drains, continuously pouring many, many gallons of water on the car and pulling up as much carpet as I could, I still couldn't find the leak.

A friend of mine suggested taking the car to a car wash to see if the forced water would help find the leak. I was skeptical it would work, but decided to try it since I was at a loss for what could be causing the leak.......and it worked! The water seemed to be coming from the door seal. Upon further inspection it seems there was a small gap in the sealant that holds the vapor barrier/sound deadening on the door. I re-sealed it and will be testing it tomorrow.

That being said, I'm genuinely surprised at how much water flows through the door (between the door skin and vapor barrier/sound deadening) during rain storms. I always thought this area was dry for the most part, maybe allowing very small amounts of water to seep through.

I went to town on the body gaps on my aftermarket M-Sport nose and replacement hood. I wish I had taken "BEFORE" shots, but I am very pleased with the improvement!

Realized that im losing oil, have to track it down before my engine explodes. I hate the idea of adding a quart every now and then.
Tallied the total for parts for the maintenance dump, looking at $703 for parts alone.
Waiting on labor costs...

So you're talking about valve cover gasket, OFHG, anything else? Is your main seal leaking?

The OFHG is done, i did that last year. I need to redo the valve cover gasket due to a failed Eccentric shaft sensor, sucks because i will be replacing the valve cover itself while i do this again. My mechanic saw leakage from the oil pan so i know thats gonna be the cultprit.
While he has the car, oil change and new rear brakes as its coming up and will knock it out while ita at the shop.
