Nick,
I have your your exhaust system with teh 2nd cat delete and love it. However, I'm thinking of going to AR catless DP's and adding your HFC's by welding them into the system. Any experience on how this will affect the sound? |

Does anyone know if this quad exhaust works with the Hamann style diffuser that goes on the stock bumper?
I really want quad exhaust tips but don't want to change the entire rear bumper! Currently my 335i has the Dinan stage II tune, wondering if i'll get noticeable HP gains from the quad catless AE exhaust combined with AR catted downpipes. |

Simply put: it costs more because the cats cost money.

but does that mean better performance or less performance? b/c from my understanding, the cat restrict the flow doesn' it? so basically it means spend more money to get a cat to reduce the power of the exhaust? then it doesn' make sense to me...anyone can correct me if i'm wrong?
seriously diggin the exhaust, but not sure wat is the best for performance part. Thanks in advance |

Cats are there to reduce emissions. If you don't care about emissions you go catless. If you care about emissions and/or live in a state with strict rules you'd need an exhaust with cats. The cats in this system are high-flow "performance" cats... they flow much better than the ones you'd find on a stock exhaust but still help to reduce emissions some (and allow you to pass emission testing). Any high-flow-catted exhaust piece will always cost more than an equivalent version without cats.
Any cats an exhaust company puts in their system costs them money, and thus the price of the exhaust must be raised some. |

You will absolutely notice gains with the exhaust on your car. There are gains to be had on a completely stock vehicle. ![]() Let me know if you'd like to order one.

Correct. The difference is negligible due to them being high flow. We use 200 cell metal substrate HFC.

Loudest- Catless Downpipes w/ Catless Exhaust Catless Downpipes w/ High Flow Catted Exhaust Stock Downpipes w/ Catless Exhaust Stock downpipes w/ high flow catted exhaust Driving around town, if you'd like it as quiet as can be with an exhaust... go with our high flow cats, and keep your stock downpipes. We've never had a complaint about around town driveability even with our standard system without the high flow cats, but its completely relative to your taste for exhaust sound.
