Hello, my car has the Road Map Europe Premium 2012 installed, which 2024 version can I install, the same one or the west or east version?
In the FSC-Generator the same version only comes until 2014, how can I update so that it comes out in 2024? thank you |

Map now is split. Can install only East or West, and switch back and forth as needed.

Hi guys,
I'm new here as I discovered that I can't get map updates anymore via connected drive for my F32, which is quite stupid as it's not an old car. Anyway I found a place where I can download maps for free, and ended up here to learn to use the Keygen to activate Road Map Europe West Next 2024 to generate the codes myself. I was able to get the lookup.xml from the same spot where I got the maps. I'm yet to extract the FSC from my car, but when just checking the Keygen I saw that the 2024 maps aren't selectable yet. Furthermore the keygen downloaded each time an older version with less maps to choose from. And when trying the gen by date option, the drop down menu for the dates is just blank when filling in my VIN code (yes the last 7 characters, I know) I would like to know where the exact data comes from when adding the maps to the lookup file? I managed to force the newer version by adding a more recent date in the header, and added the map version by extrapolating which codes have to be used by looking at the evolution of those from the previous map versions of the same area. Would my diy workaround work? If it wouldn't, is there a repository online where the lookup.xml is kept up to date? And is the "lifetime" option in the Keygen really lifetime or is there some sort of catch? Last but not least, what's with all the "PM sent"? Asking because as a new member I can post and stuff but PM is apparently of limits for some reason. Do replies get blocked or something when sharing links or something? Kind regards and thanks in advance for anything you guys can teach or tell me about this tool. |

"NAVD_000014B9_255_008_121" SWID_FscShort="00A90078" name="Road Map EUROPE Next 2024" Lookup.xml file is ripped from ISTA+. Lifetime FSC works fine.

I'll definitely take a look at ISTA+ then! Could you please steer me in the correct direction of where it can be found? I did a search in the ISTA directory and I didn't find the file yet Just to be sure, I can just generate a Lifetime FSC, and use the same code over and over to update the maps each time? Would be great With updated, you mean the one the keygen downloads or the one I adapted? It's actually the Europe West Next 2024(-1), so I guessed it would have to be SWID_FscShort="00A90072"? What's the reason it 255_008_121? Shouldn't it be 120 as the interval for the previous iterations is each time 1? Kind regards |

A lifetime FSC Code is entered just one time. No need to ever enter again. Just install future map data. Updated as in new Lookup.xml file with 2024 maps or old Lookup.xml with 2024 added manually. NAVD_000014B9_255_008_120 is Road Map EUROPE EAST Next 2024 and NAVD_000014B9_255_008_121 is Road Map EUROPE WEST Next 2024, but since the FSC Code is same for both, it is a distinction without difference, which is why I said you need only add it as Road Map EUROPE Next 2024. As ro why it is 120, 121, etc, you need to ask BMW AG, and no it does not always increment by 1. Upgrade index for 2024 Map Data is 0x78. No idea where you get 0x72 from.

If you don't mind me asking, do you get the most up to date lookup file from ISTA yourself? Because my keygen still keeps downloading the lookup from 2022. Next time just connect the usb with the next map update and run? Whoa it's even more convenient than I expected! About the 120 vs 121, you're right, I overlooked the fact that the West and East maps are listed sorted by date and not by name/region. Concerning the 0x72, I saw somewhere in the list another maps set of which the 2023-2 and 2023-1 seemed to have the same index as the one of 2024-1 for that maps set, so I used that index. Is that index only to be found in the lookup.xml file, or are there other ways to find it? Afterall, even by using the wrong index my car accepted the map update without any problem, so thanks a lot for the explanations and help. I hope to sometime also contribute to this community with limited but growing knowledge and experience I have while doing as much as I can on my F32. |
