No. But I get the SOPs no later than a year before the date so I can safely say this model is not coming before July '22.

Maybe it's in these 53 pages somewhere, but where are we in the M8 life cycle? Will there be an LCI?

And it looks like
G14 8er - 06/25
G15 8er - 06/25
G16 8er - 06/25

That's probably close to the M4 LCI time. And if they decide to push through with a new M8 coupe that probably won't be til 2026 at least.

4er/M4 LCI is March 2024 per OP.

It wasn't absolutely clear to me what you were referring to with the pronoun "That's" - the March 2023 date in the part you quoted or the June 2025 date in your own post. But neither are necessarily close to the March 2024 date.

It also wasn't clear what the 4er/M4 has to do with the 8er/M8 in the first place, but I trust you were going somewhere meaningful with that, so carry on.

Of course I was. Early debating between an M4 LCI vs M8 for my next car

ynguldyn Can you please confirm if rwd m440 is still on track to release to US 7/1? Also any word on new exterior color options available to US on 440i and/or new sensatec colors? Thank you!

And the X5/6M Competition models? Very appreciated for what you do ynguldyn!
March 2021
Competition models (as opposed to Comp package) of X5M and X6M are coming.
• An obvious bit: BMW is planning to have designs celebrating 50 years of M GmbH for multiple models with production dates between March 2022 and March 2023.

Offering extended seat adjustment only for the driver's seat - is that really how they're gonna try improve profitability going forward? Holy hell.

As they did with the auto dim mirror for the passenger side. BMW sucks if they do this as well.

Shouldn't that be M240ix or are we getting the RWD variant form the start (which would be great )?

Yeah. Glad I've got my old turn signal stalks and two dimming mirrors.

I mean, this is something non-premium brands tend to do...

Sure. By 2035-ish I would expect some sort of electric two door BMW. And I would not be surprised if it were the only coupe in the lineup by that time. I say that because I expect the 8er Coupe and Z4 to disappear after the current generation, while I could see the 2er and 4er coupes merge into a single model going by some new name.

I think we can safely rule that out. The G82 will be ancient history by 2035. And even the i4 name might not be around then (though it just as easily could be).

Yeah, the old soft touch turn signal stalks was so nice. Luckily, its possible to do the soft touch stalks retrofit for F-/G-series with mechanical stalks and auto dim mirror, but its annoying that BMW are trying to save some money on these things.

True, but still it's a good thing they don't go full heritage on us and delete one mirror entirely

Interesting that BMW is resorted to de-contenting models to boost profits when dealers are posting record profit per unit. Perhaps rationalizing the dealer network and rewarding volume over gouging would better serve BMW and it's customer base than giving people less for more.

Genuinely interested to see how light the M4 Coupe`Sport Lightweight will actually be. Will it earn the CSL badge?
