Yeah, that's not a fun drive unless you can make it early in the morning or late at night.

Oh man....you really didn't buy one of those paint markers and color your tires did you? Please tell me this is a joke or photoshop. If this is for real, I vote for a reduction of rep points. You should have taken the time spent coloring your tires to finish painting all of your calipers.

Companies are selling white mark versions of tires at an additional cost now. Oh the wonders of the movie "Cars."

I just did a coolant flush. i was only able to add 1.65 gallon of 50/50 mix. Even after i did the bleeding procedure it's still max out. is that normal ? ( i did the bleeding procedure atleast 3-4 times just to make sure). "2006 330i E90 N52"

any advice? thank you.

How did you drain the coolant? The N52 only holds around 2.2 gallons so it sounds like you got most of it.

Just keep an eye out and recheck the overfill tank for the next couple of days.

Part of it is that you just might not have drained it completely. Other factor is it was low already hehe.

I assume you emptied the reservoir & pulled the blue drain screw. If you wanted more, you could pull hose off the water pump.

I put almost 2 gallons in mine after I did the water pump.
1.6 sounds about right if you didn't touch the engine block and just used the radiator drain.

Got a "good" deal to do 3 stage polish (was never done on the car), full hood paint protection film along with new side mirror caps film and full front fenders, 3 dents on the rear doors taken care of. This got me about 10HP... I can feel it

I also coded my X1 to remove the stupid honk when locking the car while it's running and enabled door handle lights while reversing.

3M kit. 500, 800, 3000 grit progression with drill and 3" disks, then a round of buffing compound with a wax finish.

Indeed. Good product. Doubt you could assemble the kit for less than 3M does it for. $12 and an afternoon drinking beer well spent.

I had quite the scare late last night. I had dinner at a friends and as I started the 1.5 mile drive home, the display said, "oil level below minimum". Needless to say, I got no sleep and got up early to put it on ramps to inspect for leaks. There was nothing on the driveway, no sign of an issue under the hood, nothing at the drain bolt and the display said it was at the full point. A simple sensor/computer glitch or pre Mercury in retrograde?

These cars eat oil. Just add a quart and relax.

I have a newfound appreciation for our splash shields. It may have about 70,000 screws, but they're all the exact same screw and there's only one piece.

You know what has about as many screws but 4 different types that look similar and about 5 different pieces that go together in a really specific and not readily-obvious way?

Gen 2 Prius.

Sometimes it takes another car to realize the thing you hated is actually....not that bad.

If the sensor reads full don't just add a quart.

This is my first BMW, and I've been pleasantly surprised with how intuitive it is to work on. Everything seems to be put together in ways that make sense and are difficult to screw up.

I will say that a small electric impact/driver with a 3/8ths drive is a a godsend for zapping off many screws/fasteners in a short amount of time.
