i dont but the previous owner of my car had jb3 exhaust downpipe and etc etc so i just wanted to make sure that from when he had the car the codes are not there.....cause i dont know if he ever cleared them or not....

Are you planning to get a tune? I suggest getting the scan tool yourself, it will save you money in the end.

yea but not anytime soon....i was gunna work on cosmetics first....do you think its necessary to get a scan in though?

i'd deffinately say get it scanned out though just to make sure, but i may not be 100% correct, maybe someone else can clarify what you should do.

well the previous owner is saying he had the codes cleared before he sold the car to me but im not sure if i should just go by his words....

Sej... the way I see it, the guy that sold you the car prob does not give a FUCK whether or not you throw a code because

a) it's no longer is problem
b) he's just gonna say "well there was no codes when I scanned it last so IDK"
c) the money's in HIS pocket and GONE

so what I WOULD DO is spend $30 for piece of mind and NOT have to worry about ANYTHING...
