Since parker isn't in for lunch...we could go later for those that need a noon slot (adam).

Later always works for me - I usually try and slot my lunch from 12:30-1:30 to make the afternoon go quicker! Less afternoon work = non-go-postal employees

That'd make a short afternoon for me to. Thinking I may just take off at 3.

How do you think the hyperblack VB3's would look on a space gray E92? I think the silvers would look too bright on mine (+ another dude already has them) and the black is not my style. Also thinking about the 710's in hyperblack.

so I was wrong about the 710 in hyperblack, I guess that leaves the m6 and vb3 (hb) on the shortlist.

If I could get some $ for the stock rubber it would help... any market for that locally? stock rft's on the 18" 189's with 5k miles.

+1 I think HB is a good compromise between silver and black.

I know my 710 colors...

And i'm sure you could post em up. Someone would pay for shipping.

Have a complete winter setup for ya...(I wasn't laughing about 17s earlier, was I?)

///M6 reps...not a personal preference of mine.

I should never had doubted

Ok, so I'm looking for some 'slightly used/new' 19" 235/35 & 265/30 + tpms + locks + black lugs (for 8.5/9.5 wheels). If anyone runs across a deal please hook a brutha up.

hear those cars are quick.

But Parker, before you buy anything, better look into the modding potential.

No Modding.

Help me out here, see if my logic is correct.

Buy a car, either the Mazda, or a cheap 06 330xi. Mazda will be about ~$15k. 330Xi is going to be about ~$23k. Idea was to buy the car, and just drive it. NO MODS. And by the end of the year have enough payments made that I have some sort of equity in the car, to have a sizable down payment for a new 335 Msport lease.

That, or just keep driving the Z4M and make another $3k in payments and get nothing back from it. Will the depreciation in my two car choices negate the fact of how much money I will put into the Z4 not counting the damages my mom made on the car (3 wheels curbed, 2 dents, possibly need tires)?

I think you'd be hard pressed to have any equity in the Mazda after a year, unless you did a 24 or 36 mo loan.

If you buy the Mazda, assuming about 2% apr and a $15k loan, you'll pay:

24mos: $637
36mos: $429
48mos: $325
60mos: $262

What is the lease payment on the Z4? I need to know that to give you the full picture. However, on a 36 mos loan, you would owe about $10,100 on a $15k loan. On a 48 mos loan, you would owe $11,362 after 12 mos. All calculations assume a 2% APR.

So, do you think you can get more than $12k for the car after a year? Is $325/mo less than the lease on the Z4? Will you be disciplined enough to set aside the cash each month?

Oh yeah, never, ever, ever make a downpayment (cap cost reduction) on a lease. If you do anything, just put the money in the bank and draw from it each month to supplement your lease payment. You'll earn interest on the money, and if anything happens to the car, you're not out the cap cost reduction.

Making a CCR is like pre-paying your rent to your landlord. No one would ever do that.

But I have to make a downpayment on the 3. I can't do more than 500 a month. Lease on the z4 is 360 a month.

Math ITT

I have always purchased...never leased. Probably stupid, usually have a sizable down payment, and when selling break even or a little better. Different this time, I say. We're keepin the two we have for a while.

My thoughts on leases are: unless you have business write-off potential and/or want a brand new car, you'll always be better off buying. There are exceptions to the rule, of course, but I'm in favor of someone else taking the depreciation hit for me, especially if I only plan on keeping the car for a couple of years. Purchases always come out ahead after 3-5 years of ownership... my .02, but nothing earth shattering there. (+1 on the no downpayment on a lease)

As for the M6 reps... those wheels are actually what got me turned on to the E92. A used car dealership had my exact same car setup with those reps, I test drove it, and right then determined it was the car I would buy. So I'm a fan, but have the personal debate of running 'poser' wheels... the pic of that car is pretty hard to beat though. As for your wheels, make me an deal I can't refuse

yeah...those pics make ///M6 reps look good. (as does the m-tech rear) But makes the huge brakes on the 335 look tiny.
