Many bicyclists along there - minimal shoulder so gotta be careful. It's really nice out there, so it does also collect slow moving traffic.

I usually go along at 15-35 from entering at the top to exiting. Anything faster you can't stop and you catch up to traffic.
The sharp hairpins are a big problem if there are the bicyclists, you have nowhere to go and there is enough traffic coming up/down so you can't slide across the lane. Similar to San Jose/Mt. Hamilton but not nearly so long.

Downpipe Install- HELP!!!
Hi Everyone,
I attempted a VRSF downpipe on my 335i E92 this weekend. I cannot, for the life of me, get the V-band back on by myself. It seems like I need another pair of hands. Anyone in the Oakland area that would be willing to help me out with this? I can offer cash compensation if needed. FYI, Im doing this on jack stands in my garage. I have all the tools. I am doing the BMW CCA driving school at Thunder Hill in two weeks, so really need to get this taken care of. |

Help Mashimarho find a place to stay in the Bay Area
Would anyone be able to help me navigate my stay in the Bay Area? I'm driving through SoCal through NorCal December 1. I am looking to stay somewhere in the Bay Area overnight, to just "hang out" in the Bay Area. I've never been here, so I'm looking to ask where is the best place to stay and why? I will most likely seek an Airbnb or a hotel.
Thanks!

North or South of the Golden Gate Bridge would be the best places to stay. The fire should be out by then so you can see things but right now it is like Southern Oregon during the fires last year.

Hey, yeah.. I'm thinking somewhere around San Jose or SF. Just generally.. I have no clue, but those are the 2 places I always hear people talk about. I'm thinking about hosting a meet too while I'm there. Already have about 10 or 15 confirmed.

Thats whats up! 10-15 confirmed for wht part of bay? SF is not fun to drive IMO too many freaking people narrow lanes and bikes. but certainly a place to visit! Im in east bay and there are about 4-6 of us meet up for drives and hang outs on occasion. depending on location and times im sure we are up for a meet. im always down for a drive

Not sure you'd want to drive all the way out to Point Reyes, but entire area has some great roads.

Thanks for the reply MysticRob I have only been up to Point Reyes once and It was years ago while I was in my little e46 330i 5MT (now wife's car). Definitely had a blast driving those roads and if I could find the time for a little road trip i would love to take the e90 up there!
