I'm implying that you moved money from performance-related mods to visual mods, thereby giving up performance for looks

You've never bought anything cosmetic for your car? Yeah, thought so.

Sure - but I've never sacrificed performance mods for it. You made it sound like you permanently gave up on Cobb and got Some blue lights instead of GIAC/Procede/JB4/etc.

I've given up on COBB partially until they say something about releasing 2007 support. I'm not interested in any of the other tunes. COBB's ease of use is what I want, and unfortunately they haven't released an ETA on it. I've already waited over a month now, and I don't see any point in keeping the money set aside if there isn't at minimum an ETA.

2007 support should have been job #1. I believe there are more 2007 year cars with owners willing to mod then 2008+

i'd like to see 6000-6200 rpms shifts.

anything over that is pretty much pointless.
You should rev out 1st, and 2nd gear longer than 6200RPM IMO

Anyway when I floor it, and let the car shift itself it sure doesn't seem like the RPM limit was raised.

wouldnt think that it would unless the automatic's shift points under heavy acceleration were changed to 7200.

Do these firmware updates change the maps? I have updated the AP a few times but there isn't anything in the release notes for the new stuff. Maps all still say 2.01.

I think I had the 1405 firmware when I flashed, but haven't tried updating the car since. The update tab still only shows the notes for 1405 - if I update the car will those notes then become visible?

At one point we had to determine which type of vehicle to support first - 2007's or 2008-2010 as each requires unique communications development. We felt it most appropriate to support the broader year ranges (2008-2010) first. I certainly apologize that we're unable to meet your need currently and can only ask for your continued interest in our products. I assure you that Rob is very hard at work developing the communications systems to allow for 2007 support and that we are dedicated to serving that portion of the market to the exact same level as the 2008+ cars.

Best regards-
Lance

Really what more can you ask for? A logical reason why they went 08-10 and a response about their current efforts.

Just install my COBB AP (on my bone stock car)

Did 0-60 on my first run in 4.56 seconds! (and that was with the wheels spinning alot initially--its hard to put the wheels down now!)

Installation was a breeze, took less than 20 minutes total. Make sure to turn off your headlights, radio, etc. Haven't tried changing maps yet (i.e. to valet or econo).

The car now pulls like a monster...how do others get a good launch? Do you even need to turn DTC off or halfway off? (i.e. one button presss)

Will need to get it dyno'd soon...but its definitely a beast! Best decision ever!

Bump for Cobb

Edit: Beta firmware and beta AP manager are checked. http://www.accessecu.com seems to be down today so I can't check the release notes at all.

What I really care about is should I update the car when new firmware comes out even if it looks like the maps are the same. I did switch to the 91 map today and there was no option to "update" so I'm not sure if new firmware matters.
