Got my 330i back from BoM, great service. Alignment was way off, I convinced them to give my car a total of .11 Degree of Positive Toe In in front. The greatly reduces a cars tendency to Tramline. Even though this is beyond BMW's Spec of .06 they agreed to do it.

Waiting on tires I ordered to finish things off. The tires on the car are terrible and are also contributing to the cars tramlining issues.

I am now a happy ZHP owner.

Yeah...new front pads and disks. Oil filter housing leak...damaged a couple of radiator hoses I guess...oil change. I'll get a final break down tomorrow I guess. Bimmer hasn't ever treated me wrong.

So...a FWD car with 280 hp has some torque steer. And that car sits about 6 inches higher at the ground than my 335. My daughter even said when she hopped out..."dad this new car is really high".

All seasons will be meh in the winter, and meh in the summer.

My vote goes for dedicated summers and winters. You will have much better traction in both seasons.

I only used dedicated summer tires while I lived in Hawaii. Summer tires become useless on snow, ice, or simply when it gets below 45 degrees outside. I think the weather in Utah changes too much to go with a dedicated summer tire and risk getting caught in a late spring or early fall storm.

Instead I use an ultra high performance all-season like the General G-MAX AS-03 from spring to fall. They still handle good enough for spirited summer driving in the canyons with M-Coupe, they're cheap, they last longer, and they can actually be driven in low temperatures with light snow and ice on the ground. For the winter months around November to February I switch to a set of Blizzak's on a dedicated set of rims.

I do the same thing on my Mini which is my daily driver. Winter tires for the cold months ( end of nov - first of march ) and ultra high performance all seasons for the rest of the year. Been to many times where you get some cold spell even into May where summer tires get rock hard or in November where we still see 60 during the day but, upper 30's at night.

Do a dedicated set for each season like Parker said.

My vote is for Dedicated Snows for winter, Dedicated Summer's in the Summer.

Really who cars what the car looks like in the Winter and even the worst Dedicated Snow will out perform the best All Season in Snow.

Summer tires offer a level of steering and handling response that can't be matched even by the best all season.

Just my 2 cents.

Anyone going to Coffee N Cars tomorrow. Mike from Prodent is coming to remove dents from a car or so. Just a reminder Mike doesn't take Credit Cards but his rates and work are excellent. He'll be there arount 10 am.

I was just with Mike from ProDent today, he fixed 3 unusual dents on the side of my E92 that were behind the driver side door. His his price is excellent and his work is outstanding.
