Very true Tdi but Im not so techie like u, LOL. I wish i had the time to do it. the ambient temps for that day were 90 degrees F and humidity around 80% I believe. True its two different worlds dyno and actual, one thing I did forget to mention is that I have the CYBA scoops in the intake areas and you can channel of force induct cooler air into the intake system that i believe does help in the process, Wish i could give u more insight amigo but i cant.

Going back to paragraph two the car had been sitting for about an hour when I did the run and then took a few minutes to load the car on the ramp tie it up talk some BS and then the run. Im running on the rear VMR 710 18" 265/35 ZR 18

I would think Stan would be able to help with the programming.
The tune is the easy part, but building a fixture and fabbing up a pipe is much more complicated.

Stan's point was to protect the turbos from overspeeding because of reduced back pressure. Doing the coding only for 2deer will insure of this protection. I would think this would be no issue for Redline to do. But this is only my opinion. I sort of see this as the same as someone gutting their DPF and welding it back shut and getting the updated coding from Redline. Albeit that the back pressure for the gutted DPF is higher than the aftermarket pipe so risk to turbo is probably lower.

This coding is not just for me.. It's the same that everyone with the package gets.. I've said it before and I'll say it again.. A 3" pipe with 2 45 degree angles is going to flow the same as the next 3" pipe with 2 45 degree bends

Redline had just a tune posted for a while now, before even pipes were available. I do not see why we have to question their ability to provide just the tune for anyone that wants one. That is what they were doing before. Tune and pipe package is just another product that a business has decided to provide. But just a tune, anyone can go and get it.

Just to be clear, I purchased the whole package from redline.. Not just a tune

2deer, would you happen to know the center to center distance for the bolt holes? I went to O'reilly, autozone, and advance auto today looking for 3" ID exhaust gaskets. First 2 had the metal ones but only had up to 2-5/8 size. Advance auto had a 3" but the bolt hole spacing looked huge at 5-1/4. It also was paper even though package said exhaust gasket. P/n is 31574.

TDI, did you use 1458 and did the bolt holes line up if yes?

I trying to find local supplier so I can just carry pipe to store and see if it fits before buying. Likely that I'm way over thinking this.

Rain delayed start. Then 12.1 sec @ 115.2 mph. Then another rain delay. I'm outta here.

Nice! Did you launch from first or 2nd? What was your 60 foot time? That's awesome news!

Hooper, would this pipe be something you'd be interested in, being in CA?

Congrats on the 1/2 second decrease in your run. I agree with Greek. If it was raining before you ran then wet air would not do as well as cooler/drier air.

EDIT: To be fair, latest track run also had the LSD installed. Trying to say better hookup was a factor as well. If you spin this a different way, when you ran 12.6 before without LSD, you could have been a little faster back then with LSD....maybe. Only saying the change in ET was a combo of factors. This sort of makes sense to me as ~40 hp increase might not have produced 1/2 sec ET drop on its own. Still very happy to hear of your success so I say congrats yet again.

Back home now.

First rain was ~30 mins before the racing was supposed to start. It takes them ~1 hr to re-prep the track after the rain ends. First passes started at 12:25. Was able to get 3 passes in before the next rain started. Have obligations late this afternoon so I headed out after the 3rd pull.

First pull I tried Hotrod's suggestion of 1st gear launch. It was a clown show even with the Hoosier DOT drag radials. Besides not having enough traction in 1st gear at the launch and spinning, the 2nd gear transition spun...

Second pull I went back to 2nd gear launch and used the water box. Even with a good burnout I spun the tires a lot on the launch. This run had the best trap speed of 115.9 mph!

Third pull was just ~30 seconds before the rain started again. Lowered the rear tire pressure to ~24 psi. Skipped the water box, did a quick burnout, and launched with less boost and didn't use full fueling until the car got going. Was just getting the hang of how to launch this thing...

Temps were low 70's and about 100% humidity and swirling lite winds. Sub-par conditions.

Used the Torque App "Track Recorder" and have video as well overlaid with EGT's, boost, rpm and speed. Going to see if I can upload that to youtube if I have time today. Otherwise tomorrow.

Getting into the 11's is only a matter of having non sub-optimum conditions and getting a descent launch...

Thanks.

See description of the runs. The LSD didn't come into play (except weighing more than the stock one) as my 60' time was actually worse than my 12.65 run (1.910). With the extra torque it's difficult to control the launch... if I had a couple more runs to practice, think this would've been a different story.

Do you feel like you get better traction on the street as far as launching is concerned? This has always been my observation with the trucks.. Coarse road > smooth strip

I'm late and gotta run. Had to take a video of the playback of the Torque App Track Recorder to get the data to show up. Will discuss more later.
