finally broke down and paid $200 to upgrade my DirecTV DVR to a HD one.

Now I wonder why I waited so long.

I love them so far.
My pop's was not okay with me ordering 1500 dollars coilovers, when I could spend 300 on springs and get the same look.

Sure the look is the same, but the ride and handling sure aren't.

If all you want is looks ...you did good. there is a reason coilovers are $1500.

Who did your install, can I ask? I'm looking at probably some H&R. I'd like a modest drop.

I'm not going coil-overs because I'm not ready to loose my EDC. There are SO many E9x M3 owners extremely happy with the ride/handling quality of their springs. Can they all be full of it?

I think aftermarket spring set-ups have an expired bad reputation. But, I can't speak from practical experience yet.

the problem with just doing springs is the shocks wear out faster then normal. That is when the handling goes bye-bye.
If you are not keeping your car for more then a few years then spring might be the way to go.

I think its a different story with the M3 and its EDC shocks, the stock sport shocks is a what I am referring to.

Word. That I'm definitely aware of - agreed. I'm thinking after they're shot, maybe coil-overs then.

Anyone have any experience with Wheel Werks on 39th or on Main? Reputable? They are listed on H&R's site.
