I had to work through the super-moon unfortunately or I'd have tried my hand at it. I have to agree with these other guys, that sunset is stellar. At least setting up wasn't for not!

Another one from yesterday evening. An hour after sunset and after I'd given up all hope of seeing the moon.

I usually shoot whenever possible at ISO 100 but there are occasions it's not possible. Up on a ladder in a dark warehouse hand holding the camera. This one was shot at ISO 640.

Those huge feet are what make this falcon able to grab prey in mid air at speeds over 200 mph (320 KM/h) The fastest dive recorded was 242mph (389KM/h)

This is a proper re-edit of my most popular image, Sunrise of Fire, accurately titled "Sunrise of Fire Mark II"
When I shot it, back in Dec 2012, the 6D was still being shipped to pre-order customers, and the RAW files could not be edited in LR or PS yet. So I posted it as-is. I had used 3 GND filters which burned the tree in the foreground, and also added a magenta cast to what was already a magnificent, colorful sunrise. This version is my attempt to remove the magenta cast as much as possible without affecting the integrity of the image, and also to blend the foreground more realistically and remove the unnatural darkening of the GND filters. For anyone interested to reference the original shot, here's the link: https://flic.kr/p/dzq4Xj Sunrise of Fire Mark II by Dmitriy Khaykin, on Flickr |

Nice shot, DC. Could just be the way the coastline runs, but is the horizon level? Looks a good bit off.
