I was so tired after practice, I went home, took a shower, and struggled to eat. I was hungry but tired. Oh yeah, I slept early last night and got plenty of sleep. One key thing I always stress is, when training, diet and rest is even more important than the exercise IMO. I ate healthy though. The JJ class itself was fun. There were several newbs there. There were 4 guys with almost identical builds. Scrawny, not lean, but just straight scrawny. They were about 5'8+. Then there was another guy who was at least 40 lbs heavier than me but not too tall. The instructor asked him if he knew JJ, he said he didn't but he wrestled before. So you know who I picked! He was a good workout partner, we pushed eachother a bit and resisted just a bit when performing drills so you didn't feel like you were drilling with a dead fish. After learning a few moves we went to roll with some of the vets. I got subbed twice. I passed his guard once, not sure if he let me or not, I'll just pretend I was pretty slick. The guy was a gumby though and like a spider with his legs. He was pretty good.

I tried to do a quick wash. So i washed it with a bucket and car shampoo that i have, then i cleaned my wheels then i drove it back home and go rid of all the excess water so when i got home it was almost dry and the surface was cool. I parked in the shade (almost got a ticket btw, but that's a diff story). I put tire gel, just waiting for the car to completely dry, and did my windows.
then applied Mirror Glaze 82 on spots with swirls.
then finished waxing the rest of the car using Meguiars NXT (or something like that? ).
The difference this time is i would apply wax on 2 panels, when i am done with the second panel i would go back to the first and wipe it off.
Last time i waxed the WHOLE car then started taking wax off. Since it was hot that day the wax wasnt entirely wiped off last time, so it was ugly.

Now the car is a bit dusty again hahaha I GIVE UP, I GIVE UP
Wow, sounds like you did a lot of work this morning. I need to detail my car after work but not sure if I have the energy. I definitely need to clean my wheels. The paint itself is fine. As for the dust, perhaps you should get a California Duster. It should be fine as long as you use it when your car is only dusty, not dirty. A lot of the problems people experience with the duster is when their car is either dirty or they don't use it properly. It's hard to explain, I'd rather show you in person.

I hate to agree with you john, actually i hate to agree with anyone (coz it leaves to space to argue ), but it seems inescapable this time. Rest and good food is as important as exercising.

Yah i have a duster, i dont have the heart to use it on the car haha i'd rather see it dusty.

I didnt do interior today tho. Let me know if you want me to bring my cleaners, mitts, or whatever you need if you want to use them before the meet.

I really think rest and good food is more important than exercising. As long as you exercise a bit, your muscles will break down and you need to rebuild them. If you don't rest (allow your muscles to grow back) and eat (feed your muscles), then you won't build stronger muscles. Exercise breaks the muscles down, amirite? Of course, proper technique is key to prevent injury, but I think one would be better off at just doing routine exercises and getting plenty of sleep rather than working out like a madman and only getting a few hours of sleep.

LOL, you just need to just good judgement. If you have any doubt in your mind it's not just dusty, don't use it. You could always use it on one small portion and check very carefully for swirls with a flashlight. In time, you'll know what to do. Detailing is about being meticulous/

My body feels like I am a tackling dummy. I'm sure in a couple of weeks I will have lost at least 5 lbs. (non-water weight).

Getting old? I am old. I still look young though.

Lunch? I already ate about 50 minutes ago. I warmed up 1/3 of my spaghetti/meatballs I made. I'm doing the 4-5 smaller meals a day thing, it's great for the metabolism but I find when I eat a small portion, it just makes me hungrier. I also ate a banana (potassium is great for sore muscles) and an apple. I'm big on eating fruits/veggies.

Info on banana/potassium for sore muscles: (Google is your friend!)

haha i wanted to bring up the banana yesterday when you said you were feeling tired, but forgot for some reason.
Yah dude, bananas give you a major boost when you work out. they help more if you eat them before exercise.

here's what i do: i mix 2 cups of milk, 3 bananas, like 2 or 3 spoons of honey, and a few strawberries. it's been working for me like magic since TKD days
