I think it was mileage more then anything else, personally. AWD is a requirement for me but I know many prefer RWD.

M3 conversion would be very cool. Wile Motorsport here in MA did a full E46 a few years ago.

I read it as hit in while parked: "The Alpine White 3 (300) finish has had paintwork performed to the driver’s side door, rear quarter panel, and rear bumper following a parking lot incident in 2015 and as shown in the gallery below."

Mileage was the main factor in my opinion as well. RWD vs AWD seems to be a wash. Half the country wants one, and half needs the other.

That E46 is pretty sweet! I don't think I've ever seen Oxford Green on a wagon that I can recall.

I really really really like the look of this car, minus the wheels. It belongs to thomase91, he has a few threads but hasn't been active since 2014. The M3/coupe headlights match the halogen turn signals of the pre-LCI. Plus the Blacklines break up the all red of the paint. LOVE IT -

Hi all. Long time reader and BMW enthusiast but new to the E9x club and this forum thanks to this thread and ubersteuer in particular, so I just wanted to pop in and say just that ... THANK YOU!

I lost my E46 325xiT (5spd) in an accident last Friday 4/27 when someone decided to not only go around the right side of an already stopped vehicle at an intersection (they had a stop sign, I did not), but then also not even look at oncoming traffic ... I could not even see the offending vehicle until it was too late ... contact was unavoidable. I managed to steer the car out of personal harm to either myself and the other driver and we have the famed BMW handling to thank for our safety ... easily could have been much worse. I had her for 5 years, she was my daily and I put a lot of work/maintenance into that car ... very sad to see her go.

Anyway, when I went to my local mechanic and BMW guru to review the damage (if anyone reading this is based in CT, check out German Auto Repair in Watertown), there was another customer car there that was just gorgeous... it was an 07 E91. I'd always admired the lines and look of the E91's, but was shocked when I peeked in the window and saw a proper 6MT. I was instantly smitten and call it what you will, but maybe it was all just supposed to work out this way ... I'm still not quite sure what came over me, I'm definitely not a spur of the moment guy, but I felt like it was an opportunity I had to capitalize on and what else can I say ... I'm looking forward to the E91 platform.

Also, I don't think I've seen this posted in this thread, but to attempt to give back a little bit to the community, I was also watching this listing on Autotrader (though I have not as yet heard back from the seller). Being in NC with myself based in CT it was not ideal, but lower miles, clean, and seems enthusiast owned too. Hopefully its still available.

Ah yeah, it was probably a low speed fender bender, not something I'd worry about personally but could certainly give some folks pause.

That E91 M3 conversion looks great. Too low for my taste (and also not a fan of those wheels), but looks like it was well done.

LeMans/Saddle? Yes.
6MT? Yes.
RWD? Yes.
You forgot... No nav? Yes!

If I didn't have my unicorn already, I'd be on the next flight to buy yours. LMB over Saddle is the dream combo on these cars imho.

Fixed. Much prefer not having that hump on the dash. Simple layout, very similar to my NA Miata's dash. Only what is needed.

Adam684, welcome to this elite (but not pompous) club! I followed the auction, and you got a sweet one! Make it your's!

Chuck, I noticed you chiming in on the BaT post as well and it's amazing to me how much people love these cars (or BMW's in general) ... to the point that the original owner still follows it! Awesome.

I try to explain it to friends and family... some get it, most never will.

Also, thank you all for the welcomes!

Hi folks.

Looks like I found a bit of a gem here for buy/sell purposes of E91’s.

I will soon be selling mine. It is a 2006 e91 Wagon with a 6spd manual transmission, iDrive. AWD, pano roof, brown leather interior, wood trim, many service records and 165K miles.

Of most notable services it has all brand new brakes (rotors, pads, refreshed/painted calipers), newer driveshaft, newer clutch (all about ~25k miles), cooling system had been gone through over the last few years.

Overall - great mechanical condition and drives like it has 50K miles.

I am the third owner. The car is from MA area and was sold by the 2nd owner (who purchased it CPO) to a Toyota dealer that ended up auctioning it, thereby it was purchased by an independent dealer in MA from whom I purchased it a few months ago. I purchased to keep as I have been looking for one of these Gems for quite sometime. Unfortunately now due to family circumstances I am having to sell it after putting a few thousand miles on it. I am also selling some of my other toys (RS6, 944 Turbo).

As aforementioned - mechanically the car is in great shape. Aesthetically it could use a good compound/polish. It is deep blue in color with factory 16” wheels. The drivers side passenger door has a dent that can be removed by PDR and I the rear bumper has a few paint cracks and could most certainly use a refresh. I planned on having this all handled, however plans have changed quite quickly.

I plan on washing it up and posting pictures in near future. Please message me if you’re interested. I will reply with my cell phone number and we can discuss directly.

Due to a fairly rare package, maintenance records - looking to get $9,200 OBO. I stress OBO.

Thanks!
Paul

One of the members here checked the car out in person and posted some findings about the car. There must be a reason that car is still available as there are so many people here looking for one...

Stunning...though shocked the conversion wasn't a 6MT. Only emphasizes what BMW SHOULD have made.
