I had a dream last night that I had the COBB flash installed on my 07 335i because I was doing my research before bed. I'm afraid that if it's not ready for the 07's by April I'm going with GIAC. I'm getting power hungry.

For COBB:

From the logs that I've seen so far, your A/F ratios is spot on (which piggybacks have difficulty with), but there are timing drops.

Are you guys planning to lower the ignition a little for those that have only 91 octane gas and stock parts? It seems that the maps are a bit too aggressive for that group, which includes me...

I plan on using Cobb AccessPort on my stock 335 also, albeit with 93 octane gas, so I'm somewhat concerned with this as well. Will running the AP be safe? Will there be any more conservative maps?

Will need to get it dyno'd soon...but its definitely a beast! Best decision ever!
As an authorized COBB Dealer and a personal user of the COBB AP on my very own 335i, I couldn't agree with you more. I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the COBB AP flash as it really does turn the car into a beast and makes it a whole lot more fun to drive!!!

It's planned as an ETA for late March for 2007 support so hang on tight as it's right around the corner. More info should be released shortly

Nice!! I can't wait to see what their OTS maps look like at my elevation (logs & dyno), and definitely can't wait to tune this car via ATR software!! Any idea about release dates for ATR software?!? Shortly after I'm assuming?

I certainly apologize that we're unable to meet your need currently and can only ask for your continued interest in our products. I assure you that Rob is very hard at work developing the communications systems to allow for 2007 support and that we are dedicated to serving that portion of the market to the exact same level as the 2008+ cars.

Best regards-

LOL......Rob needs to work faster! Get out the whip slave driver!

j/k

But I wonder if you would have moved more product supporting 2007 initially? No way to know with certainty now.....but I think COBB would have moved more units developing the 2007 model first and then the 2008+. (2007 warranty is gone!!!! for the majority of us)

I also appreciate COBB's adeptness at playing the nice nice political game with all of us.........very well played so far...........as COBB is aware we can be a "tough crowd" to play with...LOL Great job not getting drawn into the vendor fray

when cobb releases the 07 support will it also have stage 2 out with it? or will i need to wait again?

once you crack the 07 open, can't i just upload a stage 2 map, or will you need to work on a separate map for the 07?

Based on Rob's previous comment explaining the difference between 07 models and newer ones, the only difference is the protocol AccessPort uses to communicate with the DME. So I would think that the same maps would be used as long as AccessPort can talk to the 07 DME.

I couldn't wait but ordered my AccessPort before 2007 support comes out.

I picked up nearly 60 HP and 100 ft-# to the tire with no other mods than the Stage 1 tune. With the ETS 5" intercooler, I gained another 40 HP at the wheels @ 6100 RPM.

It will be difficult to quantify gains from catless DPs, but definitely felt seat-of-the-pants from throttle response. I've got a set of iCarbon pipes awaiting installation after the staged maps are released.

no but you can run an external failsafe; SnowPerformance sells an external boost bypass solenoid connected to a failsafe.

Unfortunately this is the only graph I have on the dyno database so far. The ones from last weekend (ETS intercooler install) haven't been published yet.

These pulls were made nearly back-to-back in 4th gear on their 4-wheel Mustang dyno in January. I started with the 93 octane tune enabled, then flashed back to map 0 before the second pull.
