thanks, I'll go to a euro shop, can't stand bmw dealer near my place.

I expect a freaking long list, this car is almost junk, 160k miles....

but those are ''bmw civics'' so not too scared about finding part. I even got the place and tools to replace the engine. I need a clean body to see client this winter. Planning to to 3000km max / year.

and honestly, from my research, there's not much on those car in comparison with my audi.... lol.

Back in the days, I declined a e91 full full full equiped, yes nav pack, keyless, sport pack, executive pack, m-pack, 6mt, red interior. I almost crying realizing that they sold only 10 fully equipped 6mt e91 in canada .

Just finished up replacing the valve cover gasket and PCV system. While I was under there I replaced the spark plugs and original coils. Pretty straight forward repairs and save me a CRAP TON of money. No sooner that I finish the 330i, my son come home from college with our 2009 Touareg Vr6 that has a leaking valve cover gasket on it as well. One that I let a shop replace in March for big money because it looked very complicated. I decided to not waste my money again and tackle it myself. Hell, the Vr6 VCG was WAY easier to replace than the N52, like 3 hours at worst. It's been a good week.

I bought a new M3 replica front bumper from iKon Motorsports. I had them paint it. Total cost was $665.00.

Fitment was 9/10. It was maybe 1/4" short on the corner that meets the quarter panel. If not for that, I'd give it a 10/10.

The top mounted headlight sprayers didn't come with O-rings where the quick connect meets the female end coming from the tank (cheesy), and the line coming from the spigot really wasn't made for that spigot and quick connect; it was too wide and didn't have a tight fit. Luckily, I had some vac line and some zip ties.

Then the spigots, on the bumper, for the headlight washers leak. 😡

After some research, it turns out I need a one way valve, in the line, to prevent them from leaking. So, I ordered a part made for a mini, which should work, from ECS tuning. They should be here by next weekend.

Sort of disappointed that I have to retro-fit the headlight washers on it. I bought this particular bumper because it had the headlight washers. I couldn't find one with the holes pre cut like a regular e90 bumper would come! I have the climate control package, so I wanted to ensure it stayed fully functional living in Michigan.

Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase! It looks great. I have had it on the car for only 24 hours, and I have already gotten 2 compliments on it.

Fixed my P0442 evap leak code caused by a small hole in the fuel tank breather line. (Apparently the car sat before I bought it because the hole had been caused by some small animal making its nest behind the wheel liner and chewing up the line )

Managed to get the new line in there without having to completely take the gas tank out which is a huge job. Was able to loosen the strap that holds it and support it with a jack. Then I accessed the hose from the port under the rear seat and used an electricians snake to pull the hose out / get it back in. Fairly easy job and finally cleared that light off my dash

Installed the B12 Prokit on the rear of my 330xi today. Car sits like a monster truck compared to my (blown) OE base shocks.

The gap was 1 3/4 inch before and now it's around 3 inches if I were to guess. Didn't take measurements yet. Hoping it settles to where it was if not lower

Edit: Settled back down to the original rideheight

Exclamation VANOS SOlenoid

Hey guys i just joined this forum. I tried to remove and clean my vanos solenoids today as I have a check engine light. Will take it to the auto store to have codes reset later. But the problem is, the bottom solenoid would not come out. or go back in easily. The top was a bit hard to get out and back in but the bottom was near impossible, I had to gently pry it free with a hammer and tap it back in to place. I did swAP them around but still the bottom one was just too tight. Does this mean the housing is ruined? and also now when i start the car and rev it past 3000 at idle it shudders and stalls. Any help or information will be greatly appreciated. I can not afford to take it to mechanics and am currently not using the car.

Did you take out the rubber o-ring? Sometimes it gets caught in the cylinder hole, while pulling it out.

Based on what you described. I'd say you ruined the block where the vanos solenoid goes in.

You might have got lucky and just beat the crap out of the solenoid. Hopefully, you didn't push the old o-ring into the motor.

They should go in and out with relative easy. Idk why you had such a problem taking them out. They usually only last around 100k or so. I've done a change around that interval on an N54. I didn't have the problem taking them out like you described.

What codes do you have? Are you sure it is the vanos solenoids? You need a code reader that can read BMW specific codes and then post them here.

Just re-glued my passenger side mirror glass back on, it had been increasingly flapping in the wind over the last couple of months. Did the same when the adhesive on my driver's side mirror about a year ago.

Additionally, I picked up some BMW BBS Style 197s. 18x8 and 18x8.5. One of them has a cracked inner rim flange, so I'll need to get that repaired. Planning on getting them powder-coated anthracite too. I think it should look real nice on my Jet Black E90, especially after I ceramic coat the wheels and get some BBS center caps like a ricer. Got them for next to nothing, so after getting the one repaired and all of them powder-coated, it will still come out half the price of the Apexs I wanted to purchase, which were a smaller size no less!

I think Anthracite is the way to go, however if anyone has any input that would be appreciated. Going to wrap them in Conti Extreme Contacts, got a really good discount/rebate with them.
