No, was actually in quite great shape... (on paper/service history)

It was a one-owner car that was traded in to the main dealer that I work for (we have 2 locations)...

I requested to check the car over, but the manager did not want to do anything until the recall items were completed... "i'll save it for you" is what he said...

manager goes on vacation, car gets sent to auction by asst. manager (allegedly) and sold (guessing to the dealer now selling it)

I know for sure that the car was traded in for $7k to our dealership... quite a deal it would have been for me...

But, I now have an F31 on order and have my eye on an e91 6-speed XI I stumbled upon accidentally...

The car is now sold, probably from being mentioned in this thread! Chip (owner of Atlantic Auto Exchange) is a great guy, club racer, etc, and he's the one I bought our E91 from a couple of years ago. He doesn't buy average to poor condition cars, only nice ones. Someone got a nice sport package E91 with low miles...too bad it wasn't 6MT.

To potential new owner: This is before bmw switched to plastic valve covers. Get yourself a three stage intake manifold while you're in there and you're set.

just bought 07 328i black wagon (No X-drive duh) with 70k miles for 6k.
It got no options but I figured it would be a good base car to add few things. even LCI 09~11 ones easily have 120k~ miles so I thought it would be a good trade off for having an older look car with less miles.

My wagon searching game is over for now.

I got tired of looking for the right one past 6~8 months. If I find a good one, it all had X-drive. A lot of them had Tan interior too which I couldnt stand.

I think I will throw $1~2k to make it look decent (sports seat and steering from salvage yard, android head unit, new headlights etc)

good luck on your wagon searching game

WTF?? Ive been looking for wagon for long time, put deposit down today and I came across something like this right after?

this would be my dream color wagon. Blue is hard to find even for sedan, coupe.

I guess I have to tell myself it's alright since it has 130k miles and X-drive....

Hello all,

Been daily driving a Dakar Yellow M3 for 8 years now. Looking to hop into the long roof game with an E91.

Specifically, I am looking for a late model (2011-2012) with AWD and Saddle Brown interior preferably with less than 80k on the clock.

Please let me know if you guys know of any for sale, or even any that people have that I may be able to convince them to sell. I'm patient for the right car.

I'd give $5k max for a car like that. Too many questions. Plenty of $10k cars out there with half the miles and no stories.

Agreed Value insurance

Hey folks,

Sorry if it's not the right place to post this, but I wanted to specifically hit fellow E91 wagonistas, both current and prospective, with this auto insurance info.

If you have a standard policy and get into an accident, you're almost guaranteed to get into a pissing match with you insurance company trying to prove the value of your wagon. This will affect both the payment you'd get if the car is totaled, and whether the insurance company decides to total it in the first place, rather than pay to repair it.

Edmunds, Kelly, and other car value guides (including internal ones used by insurance companies) value your wagon similar to a common E90 sedan. And we all know that wagons demand a premium, especially the rare 6MT fully loaded unicorns (like mine .)

The only reliable solution is to get an Agreed Value policy, where the value is agreed-upon upfront. Several companies offer Agreed Value antique/classic policies, for cars that are driven less than 3 miles/year. I've had that for my E30s (stored winters), but my wagon is year-around daily driver, so that doesn't apply.

A fellow BMW club member told me that Cincinnati insurance offered Agreed Value policies for both antique/classic and cars driven daily -- without any mileage limitation. Bingo!

Found a great agent too -- Todd.Brett@ansay.com, 262-376-3220. He is in Milwaukee but has clients all over the US as many are OK to deal with by phone and e-mail. Just a very satisfied customer, no other affiliation.

If you want to find a local Cincinnati agent, go here:
https://www.cinfin.com/find-agency

I spent almost 2 years looking for the right wagon before finding one, and know what it would cost to replace. No point paying for insurance that doesn't offer adequate protection.

Alex

So besides the 6MT RWD purple unicorns, what options packages do people value the most in these?

I'm pretty happy with Sport + Comfort Access in my 6MT AWD (especially now that I got the 330 tune in place). Considering upgrading the professional audio to CIC idrive...

Has anyone seen an e91 sport/6mt with adaptive cruise?

I purchased a 2009 E91 with adaptive cruise recently. It's the first and only one I've seen so far, out of the 10 wagons I've had.
It was apparently a demo car, as it's loaded with absolutely every option you could get. Well, except RWD, 6MT/DCT and N54
That will be remedied most likely later this year.
