As far as clear, color matching your headlights would be nice as far as you not really wanting any "color" really

Since he drives 45 min to come here and by that time the oil and coolant are both nice and hot. I usually prefer not to burn myself draining hot coolant or touching a hot engine, so with oil cooler jobs its usually a days affair if you dont drop the car off the night before
