A customer's policy is "don't do any work without a purchase order." So we say ok. This lasts for about 2minutes because that's how often they have an emergency, and say fix this and tell us what it costs and we'll cut a PO. So we fix it, I total the bill, and they bitch not about the price, but why it's 2 weeks old. Well, investigate problem, order parts, get parts, put them in, get billed for parts, accrue paperwork from the field, etc etc etc etc, oh and the fact that while putting out this fire they had us look at 300 different emergencies...further prolonging getting the first thing fixed. Repeat 8-10x a week.

This is the only entity we deal with, that will give a verbal ok, and subsequently demand that we solicit them for a PO for work done. Everyone else, they send a PO if they want one attached. Most service for customers requiring purchase orders is initiated through an email that guess what, INCLUDES A FUCKING PO. If not, gets billed as a verbal authorization. they can put whatever PO they want to on it from that point on. Likewise when I order shit, I fucking a give a PO UPON FUCKING ORDERING SHIT. I don't say, just send me the shit now, and when you bill me for it I'll bitch about you not including a PO because I didn't have one for you
