Lemon pepper wings from BWW, because 50% off on Tuesdays, because diabetes.
If you remember the story from last year about how I accidentally discovered dry-rub lemon pepper wings because BWW screwed up my order for garlic parm wings? Well, they screwed up again yesterday, shipping wet lemon pepper wings that weren't flavored or cooked very well. Thankfully, I have a shaker of BWW lemon pepper seasoning in the spice cabinet that combined with a trip through the air fryer fixed them up enough to eat.....

Salad! With a good sized chunk of cubed parmesan, hardboiled egg, tomato, peperoncini and Kalamata olives. With EVOO, freshly squeezed lemon juice, S&P. Grapes for dessert.

Haven't had one in a while. Steak Dry Strip Poutine.
First time I used Shoe Lace string French Fries in a Poutine. It's was good but it requires large quantity of Fries compare to the regular cut version. |

Chicken étouffée
So good. My second time making étoufée. As with any stew, long cooking time is needed to bring out the flavors from the herbs and spices. I toned down the three types of pepper (white, black and cayenne) and went with more oregano and thyme. This version was nicely savory with pronounced herb flavors and some bite from the pepper. The roux was cooked a bit darker this time, compared with the shrimp version I made a few weeks ago. Served on Basmati rice. One leftover portion will be better tomorrow than it was tonight because of more time for the flavors to come together! Last edited by chassis; 08-02-2024 at 07:21 PM.. |
