I like it a lot, close call if it is my favorite Aberlour (that or ABunadh). It is a sherried scotch that has elements of the ABunadh, but less intense and more rounded or balanced. And not super expensive, I think about $60-70 but it was one of my last pre-pandemic buys so it may have gone up in the meantime (The AB and 16yo are up around $100 lately around here).

Did a side by side with some Islay stalwarts this weekend. Both superb, wish they brought back the Laphroaig 18. Sorely missed, I'm on my last one.

Has anyone ever hard Dickel Bottled in Bond? Has to be the blue bottle. It looks like it was only released a few times and is phenomenal imo.

before last year it cost significantly less than that. People just like to throw around current market prices when trying to impress people.

I think it is more just the spirits craze and stupid people with too much money. I just saw an EHT Sour Mash sell for $20k

Had a little share with some friends last night. That EC Rye is quite good for the price.

Irish whisky is the most important meal of the day. That's what being a nurse taught me.

But what if you are 3/4 German, and only 1/4 Irish?

None. You have none. You look for something that doesn't exist. Now take some personal responsibility and go defrag some hard drives and load up DOS and teach some newbies the wonders of *.* delete.

If you get enough people to do this, it should do wonders for maintaining job security for you until you choose to retire.
