Sorry, but dont agree. Any trader worth his salt would rectify most of that list (and easily). there is no need for most of it.

LOL at the tyres on that 525d

3mm cheap non-RFT front tyre one side, 6mm cheap - different brand - non RFT the other side front, 4mm runflats on the back.

Nice.

Their reputation stretches out this way, without the need for this thread . Absolute cowboys with no morals, they'd mug your Nan if they could.

P.S. #2 rating in Google still .

I had gone to Big Motoring World a couple of times to look and considered buying from there. Then I saw this thread.

My wife said she got a bad feeling about the place and the sales guys were a bit flippant. Also there was a sing on the desk saying we don't provide customers with: Then a big list of the things you would expect to be able to get with a used car like Tax, MOT, oil etc...

Then another sign saying: Cars subject to a buyers fee of £142.50 (or something close). What? where does that come from? whats the point?

I'm just glad I googled them before going to see a car. Off the back of this thread I decided to bin it. Sound like a right cowboy outfit.

Exclamation Con Artists

these guys sell a great brand that anyone with class would want to buy, and as they have soo many you would think that it is all above board.. proper crooks. I bought my car from them a year ago and faced soo many problems and when i took back in to get checked.. which i paid for might i add, they looked down their nose and made out they are doing me a favour. the man in charge after the boss plays the nice guy, don't fall for it, also the in charge in the workshop is totally fake and a bit arrogant and rude. believe me you are better off getting your car of a joey. these guys are processional crooks. also as soon as you talk about watchdog or any other form which will lead to court they make out they have had previous attempts and always win.. just be sure to have all information and keep recorded as these guys will see how far you will go. the second it gets messy they will tell you that you can have a exchange, however if you read this before going to check make sure you put them to the test and spread the word as they are manipulating innocent people!!!!

Sorry to hear that abz. In one way it's great to see first time posters like yourself finding this thread and forum but sad that you had to go through all that sh!t in the first place.

I agree the more we can spread the word the better. I nearly bought a car off these guys and luckily saw this thread just before I did the deal.

Although they do sell a great brand the fact that they have so many might goagainst them. The law of averages states that some of them have to be duff. Especially as they seem to just buy any BMW with service history regardless of condition or mileage. That they are so cheap implies that they have bought them from auction or desperate customers who might not have been able/diddn't bother to care for them in the latter stages of previous ownership.

That is all just my speculative opinion though.

As long as we keep talking about/discussing it this thread will be there for those who are looking for the Big Motoring World brand to see!! Who knows it might start to come up for some more generic terms soon like used BMW. but that would need some proper optimisation.

The "Tags" for this topic still crack me up whenever i see them.

Anyone considering buying from Big Motoring World - read this thread and heed the warnings.

I bet this thread alone has cost them hundreds and hundreds of thousands of pounds in revenue.

2 people at my workplace alone were looking to buy £15-20k cars from Big Motoring World, and then they saw this thread whilst Googling them (with no direction from me - i didn't even know they were looking at cars from Big Motoring World!).

That's £30,000 - £40,000 in lost revenue for them from my tiny office of 20 people alone..

Just wanted to say thank you for this thread! And its quite funny too

Looking for a 535d M Sport at the moment and spotted a nice looking one at BIG Motoring World advertised on auto trader.

Not too far from me so was going to pop down and have a look at the weekend. After reading some of the comments on here it seems like its best to avoid the place so will continue my search elsewhere.

Thanks!
