Thanks for the question! Those wheels and tires should be a direct fit on the stock suspension with the Continentals. Once you install the V1s, you will likely need a 5mm spacer up front as KWs tend to reduce the inner clearance in the front wheelwell with BMW chassis.

Let us know if you need anything else! We'd love to see some pics of your setup once it's on the car as the 17s don't get much love on this chassis.

Love my EC7's 18x8.5 235/40 - 18x9.5 265/35 Michelin PS4S tires * I forget what the offset is but the rears rub ever so slightly on the fender liner when I hit a big dip (fenders and suspension unmodified) Not enough to worry about. It's a bit monotone with the Anthracite and space gray but I dig it.

Up front you should be fine with the 17x9" ET30 and 245/40-17 tires as this is typically a direct fit with stock fenders and suspension. In back, we typically recommend a 255/40-17 for a direct fit with the 17x9.5" ET35 wheel. A 275/40-17 may require rolled fenders and or a touch of negative camber depending on ride height to prevent any rubbing.

Looks great, thanks for posting those pictures! The LCI sedans and wagons are a bit more likely to experience some rubbing with a 265 tire depending on the offset, due to the wider rear track.

Just picked up a set of Arc 8s! Loving the look and looking to get some spacer advice.

I have a 2011 E90 335i with the msport suspension. I don’t plan on lowering anytime soon if ever. The wheels are 18x8.5 et38 with 225/40/18 up front and 18x9.5 et35 with 255/35/18 in the rear. I’m wondering what size spacers I can run. Not looking to roll fenders or anything.

Hi there,

With a 18x8.5" ET38 front and a 18x9.5" ET35 rear, you could run up to a 12mm front spacer and a 5mm rear spacer while still having enough room to clear your fenders. However, every car can be slightly different fitment-wise, so I would recommend measuring from the top of each tire to the closest point on the outer fenders to get a good idea as to how much clearance you actually have. This will also be a good way to gauge where a 12mm front spacer or a 5mm rear spacer will push out your wheels/tires in correlation to your fenders.

Unfortunately we don't have the tire model info listed. I tried zooming in on a couple pictures to see, but the tire stickers seem to be covering the model information.

Typically more street oriented tires will run narrower compared to aggressive track compounds. You can also compare dimensions like section width as they are typically listed by the manufacturer and can often be found on tire-rack's specifications tab for most models.

The 18x10" ET25 is fairly aggressive, so rolled rear fenders or a bit of negative camber may be needed regardless of tire model.

The 17x8.5" ET20 ARC-8 is a specialty E30 M3 fitment that we do not produce regularly. It will be some time before we have more in stock and available for purchase.

I would however recommend the 17x9" ET30 for a square fitment on this chassis either way. With a 245/40-17 tire, you will likely need a 5mm spacer to provide adequate clearance with the inner edge of the tire and STX coils. With the spacer, you will also need to run about -2 degrees of front camber to ensure you don't experience any rubbing with the fender. If you wanted to run a 255/40-17, you would likely need about -2.5 degrees camber up front depending on the exact tire used.

Finally got my new Apex wheels and tires mounted.

Wheel specs: ARC-8 18x9 et 30 front // 18x10 et 25 rear
Tire specs: Conti ExtremeContact Sport, 235/40/18 front // 275/35/18 rear

Love the stance of the car as she sits now but getting slight rubbing on large dips in the rear even after shaving the rear fenders. Rear camber is -2.5 on the left and -2.6 on the right.

Thinking of getting a camber kit for the rear. Any thoughts on whether additional camber might solve the slight rubbing? Otherwise, I guess my only other choice would be to downsize to 265's in the rear.

Thanks for sharing! If you already have your rear fenders shaved/rolled, additional rear negative camber will likely be your best/only option to help alleviate the rubbing you are experiencing. The 18x10" ET25 is quite aggressive on the rear of the non-M E9X chassis, so it typically takes some effort to get it to work with a 275/35-18 tire without any rubbing.

Hi there,

The equivalent EC-7 square fitment to the 18x9" ET30 SM-10 setup is the 18x9" ET31 with the same 255/35-18 tires at all four corners. Both of those setups will typically be a complete direct fit on a stock E90 3-Series.

While I wasn't able to track down a picture of an E9X with the 18x9" ET31 EC-7 square setup, here is a picture of an E92 with the 18x9" ET30 ARC-8 square setup running 255/35-18 tires at all four corners. While the design is different, this should give you a good idea as to how the fitment will look:

Hi there,

The 18x9.5" ET35 square setup is typically only something we recommend for track/race-focused vehicles due to the high camber requirement. Here is some additional information regarding that setup:

Front & Rear: 18x9.5" ET35 with 265/35-18 tires
At least 5mm front spacers are required for inner strut clearance. Aftermarket suspensions that are known for reduced inner clearance (see below) can not be used with this fitment.
At least -3 degrees of front negative camber required.
275/35-18 tires can be used with additional negative camber.

If you are looking for a street-focused direct fit setup, I would opt for the 18x9" ET30/31 rather than the 18x9.5" ET35 due to the modifications required.
