Sadly, my VCG developed a leak at only 23k miles (N55). But, was extremely happy to see this! I expected to see some buildup, but wow!!!

Some interesting simple but necessary coding for removal of dumb errors: 2FA3 (coding non-existant -) and 578E (Transmission gear oil lifetime expired).

Both are basically stupid errors: 2FA3 you almost always get when coding DME - its harmless, but annoying if you're reading codes. So took NCS Expert to task and default-coded the 6BMOT. No more error.

I had last swapped ATF and filter at about 89K, so I didn't think about (nor realize there was) a lifetime complete code for the ATF. Any case, this pops up at about 140km. ISTA+ was acting up so reinstalled it fresh and saw it read that it thought it was at 9.2%. Obviously this is milage-based programing, so followed the steps in ISTA's diagnosis to walk through the clear-out.

Errorless again...yay!

Should have shown them the rest of your car for the detail cred.

I removed my gas pedal.

And installed my BMS Pedal tuner. Its pretty cool and certainly fixes the lag in the throttle.

What's the "pedal tuner" do? Isn't the 355i pedal touchy enough? Or does that make it less touchy?

I have a 328i and the stock throttle pedal is laggy. This allows me to dial it in how I like it, and change it on the fly.

Changed the oil a little sooner than it's due as I'd rather not be doing that in January, lol.

Swapped in LED amber turn signal bulbs front and rear. They are SO. DAMN. BRIGHT!

Seriously. Here's a comparison photo (left is stock, right is the aftermarket LED):

No errors thrown and no hyper flash as claimed, but I coded the bulb checks off (cold and warm) to prevent flickering on start up.

it changes the output of the throttle pedal to make the DME think you're pushing it down further than you are.

the money would be better spent putting new sftware on the DME, but that's just my opinion.

I agree. A tune can easily fix this. The pedal kits are a "Bandaid" in a sense. Some people swear by them though. If you like them, great for you!

Its dirt cheap and installs in a few minutes. Over the winter I'm going to decide if I want to mod the car or not since I have several other cars and this was supposed to be my stock daily. Id like to do the stage 3 manifold, afe airbox(or euro), active catback, and a tune. I wanted something in the mean time to fix the dead spots in the throttle and for $180 Ill just throw it away or sell it dirt cheap when I'm done with it.

That's exactly what I was looking for, a bandaid. Or honestly it could end up being a permanent fix, if I decide not to do anything else. This car is my daily back and forth to work car and I didnt want to dig into to much, but as usual the mod bug has kinda bit me.

I bought a three stage manifold from an 06 for $150, with both disa valves and the software cost me nothing.
