I'm in that right now. Thinking about my bbk color on my summer ride. those will be brembo 6 piston.

I'd like to go red, but in the mean time I don't want to attract too much attention on my car. I got tons of mods, some are illegal in my area and I above all, I don't want to attract thief attention....

My option so far would be glossy black with white stickers.
A darker red than your with metal flakes could be an great option.
Or 3rd choice a dark bronze.

VHT is the best paint imo, but very limited to colors.
I'll try to clear them with Spray max 2k clear, best clear in a can on the market.
I might considering powercoating, but there's no shop near my place
If you were curious what I used for paint, I used Duplicolor Ford Grey engine enamel as a base, and Duplicolor Metalcast red anodized on top (without clear, I'm not all that concerned. The red is very thin and translucent, basically a tint paint. So if you put a few layers of that over a darker metallic paint you should be good to go. VHT is good, only problem is their only caliper paints are BRIGHT.

To go for something darker than mine what I would suggest is: VHT Cast Iron Engine Enamel as a base (metallic dark grey), Duplicolor Metalcast Red Anodized, layer it up until you think it's good, and then any clear you like that can withstand those high temps. VHT has a clear coat specifically for calipers though I don't know if it'll react with the Duplicolor, which also has an engine enamel clear

my jeep friends told me there were euro cars there, so we spent an evening collecting parts for volvo stash.

Replaced rear brakes - hated knocking that damn rotor off (yeah both). Bled the brakes and was surprised how little fluid it took. Took it out for an extended drive to make sure. Pen test as well.

Adjusted parking brake (but will probably do that again to make it tighter).

Programmed the gauges to read oil temp instead of the mpg reading the 328i comes with. Have a diner 335 gauge ready but prepping my strategy to paint gauges and do a warm up RPM gauge with the donor cruise control dial and motor. In Hawaii, it really doesn't matter, and I'm no speed racer, so its just for giggles.

Prepping for my Fuel Sender replacement and still looking at my DCT headlight conversion I need to complete.

Snow coming a little early this year. So it goes into storage earlier than expected.

Those wheels look really good on your car. Are they 19'' M3 Competition wheels?

Thanks! 19x9/9.5 Apex EC7's. Came with the car(and new PS4S) so I can't complain at all; although 10 rear would have been the icing on the cake

What size tires are you running? Picking up some 19" PS4 for my ARC-8 for the spring after my e90 is out of storage

245/35/19 front and 255/30/19 rear (size was already on the car)

Eventually I would like a 265(or maybe 275 rear). Ill just have to do a light roll + Switch to pre-lci E90 rwd rear rubs or just buy a pair of 10s. 255s just arnt enough grip for the power

Scraped the snow off it, drove to work and realized my all season run flats are officially dead and need snow replacements asap. Contemplated my life decisions that led me away from Florida to Michigan.

I was literally wondering why I live in Michigan this morning also! Time to throw the winter wheels/tires on.

I can see the snowflakes from my office window here in Massachusetts.
Guess I'll put on the winter wheels tonight while waiting for Silverado parts to arrive from amazon...

Got the winter beater out, so damn early, it wasn't 100% ready.
20cm of snow (7.8in) 11 nov.
coming from a Quattro, the xdrive was very impressive, and a bit better imo. The audi is stage 2, 25psi boost on a small rpm range ,makes the car slide way faster.
Love the L6 linear power.

I'm a little skeptical that a light roll would be needed with 265 even on LCI. I am running 9.5 rears on 265 right now and just recently added 12mm spacers and it sits flush without rubbing. That should be nearly equivalent to a 10" w/265.

My next set will be 10" rears as well

Depends on offset really. I'm ET 33 in the rear of the LCI; My tire is very very close to hitting the lip(I see some bare marks on the edge of the lip that I believe to be the tire grazing it)

Installed my free gas cap cover, somewhat satisfied.

Took off the smoked license plate cover, not sure how I feel about it. One screw must have gotten stripped at some point, it'll thread halfway in and stop

These cars are snow beasts. Mine is RWD with snow tires and it's still a monster. I have a Jeep Wrangler that pretty much only comes out in the winter when the snow is measured in feet. Otherwise, the car handles it better.

I don't get it, 99.9% of people like more the audi in snow, but I can't understand why, I like more the BMW. Both are 2008, both 6mt, both wagon and both same tires (garrit KX).
Both tested with traction control off, oblv.
Traction control ON, audi is mile away from bmw, its not intrusive at all.

pretty sure this is because the bmw is less ''violent'' on the throttle, thus more predictable.

On red light I can ''win all my non-official-red-light race'', while with the audi vs corolla with good tires was faster

Audi is dropped, but that shouldn't change the agility on 6mm hard snow.

The handling and 50/50 weight distribution have a lot to do with how well it does in the snow.
