Spaghetti!
Post 40-mile ride dinner. EVOO, lots of parmesan, S&P and red pepper flakes. Simple and good! Grapes for dessert. |

Used an electric slicer on the thinnest setting to slice the potatoes, a manual one works just as good I believe. Rinsed the sliced potatoes until the water ran clear, then tapped them with a paper towel to remove any leftover water. Put a stainless steel pot on the stove on medium-high heat and filled it halfway up with cooking oil. Once the cooking oil is at the right temperature, start dropping the sliced potatoes in the pot one by one to make sure they don't stick to each other. Make sure not to overfill the pot too, better to do them in batches. And occasionally stir the potatoes in the pot so they are fried even.

Spaghetti with pesto and salad!
I have been enjoying spaghetti lately! More miles on the bike probably has had an influence... Spaghetti with pesto, S&P and red pepper flakes. Salad with arugula, onion, kalamata olives, EVOO, fresh squeezed lemon juice, parmesan, S&P. |

Top sirloin strips marinating since this morning and ready for the BBQ a little later. But now, I'm going to down a couple of those. What a beautiful end to the Summer.
