It probably feels bad to do all this heavy lifting and essentially give all this effort away. I'd just drive it for some time to enjoy the fruits of your labor

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GTK7JNX..._bNh4DbG5ZZEAC I bought these next ones for the front but realized they stick out further than the original halogen bulb and still had an egg yolk look (aftermarket headlights don't have that clear shield that diffuses the light, its just a chrome surround like any other light). These ones are brighter than the first ones though. I ended up putting the first ones in the headlights, and the new ones in the taillights. Once again the new ones are brighter (imo too bright for a clear lens, would recommend spraying them lightly with a chrome or silver spray paint) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NBR4BGH...p_mob_ap_share

Loaded Xdelete. Saved 20% with the current deal. Clemens, was a great help and quick with his response when I had problems with my voucher code(my fault). 5 stars.

Finally decided I had enough of the "wandering during hard breaking".
Sure enough, both hydrobearings show traces of leaking. Now I will see if the Strongflex replacements are all they say they are. |

Ordered new wheels and tires for my 2010 E91. It had the OEM 16" wheels on it when I bought it. I replaced those with 18" with run-flat tires. Unfortunately, the combination of 18" with run-flats has resulted in quite a few pothole explosions. One really hard hit bent one of the rims a little, although it seems to run true and holds air, but I decided that since this is my daily driver/dog hauler I need a less slam-bang ride. So I decided to go with 17" wheels with regular (non-run-flat) tires.
I looked at Apex ARC-8s but ultimately went BMW OEM refurbished Style 66s from the early 2000s 540. Those were staggered on the 540 - 17x8 front and 17x9 rear - but I want a square set so I ordered four 17x8s. Also have ordered some Michelin PS A/S 3s+ (225/45ZR17) and some hubrings to make it all fit. Not a terribly exciting tire/wheel setup but I am hoping it will be a good compromise of ride/handling/aesthetics. K9Leader ![]() |

Today I purchased xHP and a tune from another transmission tuner. Tried to install before leaving work but had issues and will try again next week. Pretty sure its my cheap Chinese cable I am using. |

Got a used 335i USA gauge cluster, and swapped the km/h only speedo, and 7500 RPM/fuel economy gauge tach, faces into my '06 330i. So now, I have the dual speed (mph and km/h) speedometer, and 8000 RPM/oil temp gauge tach, with the added bonus of the nicer (IMHO) font.
![]() The hardware swap was straightforward and easy. I followed the steps the guy used in this video ( a lot easier than peeling off stickers as I've seen in other vids): Of course, the gauges were out of whack, due to the different scaling, so I had to code the cluster using Perfekt Toolbox. Had to do some math, and figured it out with the help of this vid: I got lucky that the speedo values didn't need any modification, but the tach and cruise control indicator were way off, and I had to adjust the starting offset for the fuel gauge, because I likely didn't reinstall the needle in the exact same position I took it off of. It's easy to bugger that up. I had already coded the fuel economy gauge to read oil temp, but I did have to adjust the values to get it accurate to the scale (160 F - 340 F) Cheers! ![]() ![]() ![]() Before and after. ![]() Last edited by Clammy; 12-02-2019 at 08:30 PM.. |

Drove it through 8" of fresh powder, nothing was plowed when I left at 5am. This car is a beast, RWD with General Arctic 12 snow tires for the win.
