Agreed - not bad at all for 20yr premium. I'm paying about $45 for Dos Maderas 10 yr.

Since they just started selling the Plantation 5 year...if it goes good, maybe our state stores will bring this in.

Hope so. Far and away the most drinkable rum I've had. Very smooth.

How's that Jack? I like Gentleman Jack. Becoming my favorite DD.

Decent...for the money though, I actually think Gentleman Jack is better.

Well said. Makes me wish for a Hopasuarus Rex from Titletown Brewing. But time to breakout the good stuff.

This has probably been covered, but can anyone recommend some really good "ice cubes" that prevent the drink from getting watered down? I cannot think of what they are called. I think people use them in their scotch and hard liquor.

I'd like to get something that can get the drink really cold.

Cool, been there. We have a place on East side of Keuka.

Just to stay on topic, my wife got me this for Christmas:

Are there ones better than others? All made the same? Any new novel ones that are supposed to revolutionize the market?

I had a Manhattan with a bullit Rye, some vermouth waved over the mixer, and a few sprinkles of Rhubarb bitters. Fruity yet biting. Never have Rye before, and don't think I've ever ventured into anything with rhubarb, drinking or otherwise. Would order again.

So...did you get the dark maraschino cherry in it? Manhattan's need the dark cherries - and a touch of the syrup.

Damn cherries are $20 a jar...
