I already read the entire manual, it took me hours to sift through all that info and then I had to prepare a list of things that you can customize with the "Personal Profile", which is all over the place, if we had the .doc, we could easily do it once, remove the parts that are not needed, and also create a booklet with the Personal Profile stuff. I have downloaded the pdf, If I had the software Adobe Acrobat Full, then I would have had created a personal manual with all the info needed.

Open PDF manual, highlight everything, click copy/paste....open Word, click Paste and wait

The 2008 and later RWD models have the same e-diff (LSD) that the 1 series has. Boy, was I surprised when I turned traction control off how well the car stuck (no wheel spin on hard turns), and how good it does in snow. Now people can quit complaining that the 3er has no Limited Slip Differential.

Kudos to BMW, but why didn't you tell us???

Normally, if you're on a hill and you let off the brake, the brake assist holds you, right?

Not always right. If you aren't pressing on the clutch, the brake assist doesn't work and you'll roll back. Luckily, I didn't learn that one the hard way!

In addition to keeping the wife happy the heated seats serve to keep the Chinese take-away warm on these cold nights.

If car is running and you remove the key from within fob and lock the car from outside, some of the personal profile settings (like signal light settings) do no work until you lock and open car with the fob.
