For anyone going to Bimmerfest next month, the Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen has some rooms left but say they usually sell out. There are several other "reasonably priced" hotels in the area, 5mins away from the fest. Not sure about availability.

Anyone have any idea of shops in nc to remove secondary cats?, I'm thinking I might not do it anyway, after asking around local mom and pop shops I found that it is illegal and a felony if caught by the EPA if you remove them.

Well, I hope they don't send out people on ear-patrol, listening out for those loud exhausts 'cuz quite a few people would be in trouble! ha

I would keep asking muffler shops. The one that removed my muffler would've removed mine but they talked me into keeping it b/c they didn't think I'd like the sound - said nothing about being illegal. In Durham. Besides, it's not their problem or responsibility if you get caught w/o them, so I can't imagine why a shop wouldn't do it.

It's weird, I have stopped by 3 shops and all said pretty much hell no, and some others I called said felony blah, blah..... LMAO!! I am thinking I will just get my muffler and res deleted, I got some nice black chrome exhaust tips from the new 328 in today so I think I will go that route. Not feeling a 25,000 fine by the EPA.

OUCH! Really?! You could always get them hollowed out. That way you'll get the results of removing them but the visual of having them.

Does anyone have any 18" OEM M wheels for sale? Preferbly 219Ms or maybe any Style 95s for sale?

I need some stock looking wheels for dailying and I feel my stock 17s make my car sit too low and i'm scared for my Arkym lip. Lol

I've found some but they were currently on the car it goes on. I'm going to go up to a 7 series owner one day and give him an offer he can't refuse haha.

I had a shop just do mine. Im pretty sure its not illegal if the exhaust is not mounted on the car. I took mine off and brought it in to be cut and new pipe welded really quick.

Hey I have cut outs already done if u wanna trade stock exhaust plus the cash u would pay to do it which is $400. I'm putting the car in storage due to deployment So it don't matter what I have now

I am in Raleigh, NC and looking for my first BMW - Specifically a 2006 330i MT but being they are so hard to find I may end up just looking for a cheaper 335i.

I would love any insight if you know of any in the area...

I would definitely get the 335 over 330. autotrader and craigslist is where I found mine.

Depending on what you are looking for I would consider casting a pretty wide net in terms of areas where you are looking. We ended up buying up in Maryland and bringing the car back down here just because the prices were surprisingly so much cheaper. I didn't find many great deals in the area especially looking for specific features.
